Lowers weapon automatically after a while when not in combat. Can be temporarily toggled off by holding down the "Lower Weapon" key. MCM-configurable.
About
As the summary says. Aiming down sights or firing your weapon also delays the lowering. After engaging override the weapon will stay out until you manually lower it again. Available options via MCM are:
- Enable/Disable without having to unload the addon.
- Set the time the weapon gets lowered after.
- Enable/Disable the override functionality.
- Duration the "Lower Weapon" key needs to be pressed for to engage override.
- Enable/Disable a sound cue or PDA notification whenever override gets engaged.
Shoutout to Anonymous for testing.

Nice !
based HCL poster strikes again. Will be downloading this version and test it out.
Any way to modify this to keep sprint from overriding the lowering?
What exactly do you mean by overriding? What do you expect the addon to do, and what does actually happen?
Currently starting to sprint while auto-lowered raises the weapon once you stop sprinting. I was hoping to have it keep the weapon lowered after sprinting. I was gonna play with the script myself too so it's not a big deal :)
Huh, this doesn't happen when I'm testing it. Do you have this or something similar installed: Moddb.com? That'd explain it, since it'll force your weapon to raise when you stop sprinting. Just disabling the other addon should be enough to keep the weapon lowered.
Ohh I am using it that does make sense, I didn't realize that one actually changed your stance and not just the animation.
Yes I got it. On line 9 of dph_autolower.script, replace
if is_empty(xr_combat_ignore.fighting_with_actor_npcs) then
with this
if is_empty(xr_combat_ignore.fighting_with_actor_npcs) and not IsMoveState("mcSprint") then
I've been using the lowered weapon sprint mod so didn't even realize this was a problem until I turned it off to enjoy some good pistol sprinting animations, but yea it's fixed
This would be an automatic download for me if all the lowered weapon movement/sprinting animations weren't hella lame. Not your fault tho dude, this is great!

Great mod, I like that it auto lowers the weapon while walking around, which makes it feel more "realistic" in a way. I did notice one thing when using this mod, when ADSing for awhile (looking down a scope, etc), the weapon will temporarily lower then raise again. I adjusted the settings in MCM to lower after 15 seconds to test, and ADSing for roughly 15 seconds will result in the same issue.
Huh, let me look into that. You're using the latest version, right?
Is there a way to have ADS completely override the timer? It's very annoying that the weapon auto lowers if you ADS for the 10 seconds. And it's kind of stuck in a loop. If you hold ADS, every 10 sec the wepon will lower and raise again. Great mod concept btw.
I have been unable to replicate this bug on the latest version. You are using that one right?
cool addon it's time to forget about B key for ever Muhahahaha
autolower shouldn't interfere with aiming
It doesn't.
Love this mod for muh immursion, does this have conflicts though, possibly with BaS? I've noticed small barreled arms lowering properly, but long barreled arms such as the long barrel TOZ's and long AK's look like I'm holding the upper receiver to my shoulder.
Nope, that's just due to BaS + any weapon reposition mods you might use.
Weirdly enough with the new BaS update it's working properly now. Or it could've been with an update from another mod honestly since I got my starting set of mods from a modpack.
Hey, great mod, very immersive!
I, along others players, had issues with the weapon being lowered while ADSing. I was testing possible mod conflicts and came to realize your mod started working all of a sudden, with the same load order I had at the time of the bug. I'm guessing some MCM options may need a game restart? Anyway, just letting you know that yes, the problem exist but it also works fine (?)
That's very weird, restarting the game definitely works in resetting the state of everything in the addon, maybe that's what fixes it.
When you say restarting the game you mean.. Literally just closing and launching again? Sorry for my ignorance
better would be to disable the weapons lowering for their own faction, that they no longer bother. i tried the mod, it's pretty annoying in combat.
or he add a way that it doesn't happen in combat?
is it possible the auto-lowering turn off by itself when aiming ?
That's an awesome mod, however there should be an option to make sure it doesn't interrupt you when you're aiming, it's distracting and disrupts the flow, I think.
Hi, I think the best way to use the "override" is that lasts until the key is pressed again instead of time... Is it possible to do that? It would be great.
Anyway, very good addon, I'm still using it, thanks.

Please update this so while the aiming button is held down the script doesn't lower the weapon.
good addon, but very often when i'm aiming with the weapon it lowers
