Spell Shaping is a new skill for Dragon Age Origins that allows spell casters to shape area effect spells in a manner that does not hurt allies. Level 1: Character begins to focus on shaping area effect abilities to avoid damaging party members. Level 2: Character is adept at shaping and controlling area effect abilities. Party members are now protected from all hostile effects including knockdown, freezing and negative movement speed adjustments. Level 3: Character is experienced at shaping and controlling area effect abilities. Damage protection is extended to all allies on the battlefield. Level 4: Character has mastered the shaping and controlling of area effect abilities. Allies and party members no longer experience any hostile effects.
