Space: Above and Beyond: Homeworld is a project devoted to replacing the original ships in the game Homeworld with ships from the short lived sci fi war drama Space: Above and Beyond. This mod has a website, Version 1 release, plus a balance patch. Before the project went into a dormant state, we had a ton of product that could be finished for a decent sized Version 2 release. Of the original team members of Crook, Spooky and Thursday's Child, Crook has shown some interest in maybe finishing up a few things so maybe we could keep the mod in an active state.
Our first release doesnt have a ton of ships in it, but the ships that are in this release are beautiful (except the Hammerheads textures, which would be changed in a Version 2), there are spectacular weapons graphics from a chap called Cln. Pepper, we have some custom maps made by Thursday's Child, and the mod is fun.
This mod does make claim to the first and only Space: Above and Beyond mod on the Internet that has an actual release. Ive looked high and low and have yet to find another. You would think with the popularity of mods for all the FPS out there that a S:AAB marine or chig soldier model would have emerged and been thrown into mod, but to no avail. Its ashame since it is basically the only way the show could really live on. I would even like to see content from this mod transformed into other mods if the ambition and talent was there from the offerer.

Hey, guys and gals! This isnt really News, but its something Im working on. Ive collected some pre-model work pictures to show people who didnt follow the progress of the project from the beginning and have decided to upload them here at ModDB over the next few days. These pictures will show you stages of some of the project's models. Over the next week or 2, Ill be adding other pictures related to the project too. They will be lower resolution shots than those that are located at the main website.

I really wish someone would pick this one up. With HW1&2 Remastered out now this mod could be epic.

i remember the good ole days but when i read up on it it was supposed to have five seasons like B5 for those of you know about that series as well
I downloaded this mod before it died, I have version 1, it is not complete, but you get the main ships, I am going to try to get mod db to host it, if not antoher site, when its up ill post the linke here.
