*Hi all, in the spirit of fostering new modding creativity, if you want to modify this mod further and share them on Moddb, I'd be more than happy !! This mod contains all my original resources so it's easy for anyone to pick up where I left off.
PREPARE FOR WAR
Whether you play as the delusional Taiping Heavenly King or against, the outcome of war can never be guaranteed. The course of history relies on your ability to lead your troops through the world's deadliest civil war.

- New historical events added to Grand Campaign.
- Great historical battles built into the Grand Campaign: from the Battle of Shanghai, Inlong River to the Reconquest of Xinjiang
- Complete overhaul of in-game cinematics: from assassination videos, spy's infiltration videos to faction-specific defeat/victory videos and much more.
- Better settlement models for Large and Huge Cities, including the grand Forbidden City.
HOW TO INSTALL SIGH OF EMPIRE (SOE) MOD
1) Download all the files listed here.
2) Navigate to your M2TW mod folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Medieval 2 Total War\mods)
3) Rename americas folder to something like americas_ORIGINAL
4) Extract SOE Part 1 to the destination M2TW mod folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Medieval 2 Total War\mods). Let your file archiver (WinRar, 7-Zip...) do the rest of extracting SOE Part 2-7.
5) When finished, extract SOE Patch 1A to the destination M2TW mod folder in exactly the same steps as before. OVERWRITE any existing files if prompted
6) When finished, extract DLC Xinhai Revolution to the destination M2TW mod folder in exactly the same steps as before. Again OVERWRITE any existing files if prompted.
7) Installation complete! Launch M2TW Kingdoms Americas campaign as usual and the game will auto-switch to SOE campaign.

I what this mod is different from original Sigh of Empire 1.9? I'm the guy who created this page: Moddb.com using an English version I found in TWC. :)

Thanks for your work. I played your version and really liked the historical period. Did some research and found additional materials from the original Chinese team (Beilai & Domod modding collective) online.
This mod was originally built from the original v1.9. I've changed all the UI, added custom videos, new units, new english texts, new missions, new factions, and an entirely new campaign script.
Of course, without the work you put into the original SOE 1.9, my version wouldn't be here.
@Sacrebleu! Just wanted to say thank you very much for all the work you've done, especially the ui which looks particularly nice. A lot of wonderful additions to the base mod. And thank you echuu for uploading it in the first place!
Haha thanks for the compliments but I didn't work at all on the mod, just found links at TWC that were going to die and created a ModDB profile.
Since you worked from original 1.9 your version should be the most updated. Maybe you could connect the two profiles so people following 1.9 would be aware of your version?
