I'm happy to announce the release of my latest hand-made translation for one of the highest rated mods on ap-pro: 'Short Story: Intruders'. The mod features a short 2-3 hour story with immersive stealth gameplay, high quality voice acting and scripted events.
I had a lot of fun playing and translating it, and hope you will enjoy it too. Clear up one evening for yourself to enjoy this experience.

'Uninvited Guests' is the second chapter of the adventures of the stalker Banzai. This time he will have to infiltrate the former base of Freedom, now occupied by a detachment of mercenaries.

We are proud to present to you another short adventure of the stalker Banzai.
After a successful trip to the containers warehouse, Banzai receives a new task — to get to a military base occupied by mercenaries in Army warehouses.
The modification focuses on interactivity and variability of the player's behavior in different situations. The main features are: stealth gameplay, new NPC visuals and author's voice acting.
To play this modification, you do not need to download the first chapter beforehand — it is already integrated into the mod. You can select it in the corresponding menu.

Installation:
1. Install a fresh installation of STALKER: Call of Pripyat ver. 1.6.02
2. Download the 'Intruders.rar' file and extract it anywhere.
3. Copy the extracted files into the main 'STALKER: Call of Pripyat' game folder, overwriting anything.
4. Download the 'Short Story Intruders ENG Translation.7z' file and extract it anywhere.
5. Copy the extracted files into the main 'STALKER: Call of Pripyat' game folder, overwriting anything.
6. Launch the game and enjoy!
Tips for playing the mod:
Don't be too aggressive towards any zombies you meet, see if they're hostile first.

While this has the best stealth gameplay I've seen done on STALKER, it's only that, a nice stealth section and not much more. This is definitely not a 2-3 hour story like the description says.
It has two chapters. The first is nothing special, you starts in a slightly modified container warehouse from CoP, you walk in, grab some papers, kill three Bandits and that's it, five to ten minute gameplay tops, if you explore the tiny, tiny area you are allowed to move that is.
The second chapter is where the mod really shines. You start in a nicely modified Army Warehouses village, meet with a stalker there and go underground through some sewers to the Freedom (now Mercenary) base. This is where you start your stealth mission and everything about it is great. Once you collect all necessary info, you leave the base, have a lengthy conversation with your partner and that's it, mod's over.
Now, there are some cool moments sprinkled in the houses which actually change the ending, but I will not spoil anything about those. All I can say is even if you love looking around and explore each and every area, the playtime would still be less than an hour. They weren't kidding when they called it "Short Story."
Overall, the mod is definitely worth playing, but you're going to leave this table hungry. The developer should create a full fledged, long story mod in the future. Because what we have here already, the maps, the voice acting, scripting etc. is too good to never be utilized again.

Thank you for this. There are so many great mods out there that are practically unplayable to those who only speak English. Hand translations such as this make them accessible to a whole new audience.
If you are looking for suggestions for which mods to translate next, I highly recommend Spectrum Project/Path in the Mist (which I believe are the same mod but with two different names because... reasons)
It has a machine translation, but it's inconsistent and some parts are unintelligible. This is a shame because it is an amazing mod with some amazing maps. Even Sid gets off his fat A$$ to do a little exploring ;-)
