True Stalker is a total conversion for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series developed by the team behind the modding website AP-PRO (rus.).
Players will be offered a fresh story that takes into account events from the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy in addition to reimagined levels, gameplay improvements, revamped visuals, a custom voice-over, and an official translation into English.

True Stalker is a total conversion mod based on an improved version of the Call of Pripyat engine and developed by the team behind the modding website AP-PRO!
True Stalker offers players to experience a completely original, lengthy storyline through the eyes of an ordinary stalker named Axe. Although Axe has been in the Zone multiple times before, he never dared to venture past the Cordon due to fearing of what's beyond it... But realizing that life outside of the Zone has long lost its meaning to him, he decides that time has come to finally start heading deeper into the Zone... And that's when the game starts off.
Main mod features:
- A completely original storyline which takes place after the events of Call of Pripyat, but has its own stories to tell and a set of new characters. Quests are also accompanied by cut scenes, character voice-overs, and in some cases different paths that the player can take. Having no specific focus for the quests, players will have to travel, search, participate in shootouts, encounter mystical events, and come face to face with various creatures inhabiting the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
- 13 in-game locations: some original and others being well-known locations from the STALKER trilogy that have undergone quite significant changes.
- Completely new UI and HUD from CORRYZERON. This includes the inventory system, in-game encyclopedia, equipment upgrade system and more.
- A complete game soundtrack composed by Anger Of Darkness, with more than 50 new compositions. Background ambient music has been remade as well and is inspired by MoozE's work for Shadow of Chernobyl.
- Updated graphics with various weather cycles made in a summer style.
- New NPC models made in the spirit of the original STALKER trilogy.
- Gunslinger weapons pack; modified to suit the needs of the True Stalker project. - Improved engine based on the OpenXRay platform. - Official English and Ukrainian localizations, available as a setting in the settings menu. Is there any way to make bigger font for items on the ground? I can't see what I pick up, letters are so tiny
When I first opened the game I had audio, after a restart from changing graphics options now I have no audio??? Even when I change the settings back???
edit: Even after a reinstall, no audio.
edit2: Well, 18 hours later turns out uninstalling OpenAL fixed this....

Is it possible to run somehow game in static lighting mode or only dynamic lighting is available?
Will there be update that adds Freeplay and more A-life?
This was actually one of the best stalker mods I have played. I like the concept, not a lot of wandering like the normal stalker games but having straight objectives. I can't wait for True Stalker 2 I know for sure there will be one. The devs won't leave us with an unfinished revenge. True Stalker 2 should have the ending with killing the mercs in CNPP. Hope more mods like this one will come out soon

Please, please, PLEASE separate gameplay changes from difficulty! I don't wanna be playing with basically god mode on just because I want the default carry weight. Also add fast travel in some way, I went from south to north of the cordon over a dozen times and after the 4th it already got annoying.
Still one of the best mods for Stalker.
