Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

Will VDV drop comes with Bmd-1 and they will carry troops...

I personally almost always equipped my BMD's with mortar, since the tank destroyer was quite weak. The mortar best fulfilled the role of support that the VDV's were in need of by keeping small groups of light vehicles/artillery and dedicated anty infantry away, as well as filling a niche that the Buratino somehow never could...I think that the tank destroyer variant needs a considerable upgrade, it's shots felt less powerfull than Rhino's though I don't know the stats exactly, maybe it was not so...

Agree, I honestly think it'd fit Armored Reserves more, just saying.
Also, will it indeed have "Malyutka" ATGM at least as ability?

the weird thing about this BMD-1 is how it's gonna use it's armament
does it will have the 76mm cannon and the AT-3 Anti-tank missile
meanwhile the BMD-4 has 100mm cannon and 30mm cannon ?
is the 76mm cannon will have the same power as the 100mm cannon

I like the look of the AT gun upgrade, but i would rather have AT missiles... Could you add an upgrade that affects the BMPs and BMDs giving them AT missiles? Like a Russian version of the TOW upgrade from the Humvee.

yeah man i like this idea of the 9M117 rocket on the BMP
it'll make it super useful for the battlefield also i will finally
have a reason to use my BMP-3 even if i ranked way high
because the IFV itself will have 100mm and 30mm and 9M117

Is it just me or your comment seems to be ironic in a sense of "yeah, its no way close to overpowered"
But think about it, the russians are losing ground for the europeans, its very likely that they would add AT missiles to their IFVs, considering that they are also reactivating old vehicles, its quite story wise.
As of gameplay wise, that would make the BMP-3 more useful in later game battles, as it will be more effective against enemy armor(and that would be good for the VDV, for example), the VDV should also have some AA, maybe allow the machine-gunners to fire at aircraft, or give them some IGLAs, because many air assault that i made failed because of enemy aircraft, specially helicopters, and since the armor reserves bring you Shilkas, the VDV should also have something to deal with aircraft.

1.85 will actually include a new Tier 1 upgrade which, aside from adding two infantry fireports to Mishkas, also adds rocket launchers to all BMP3s by default in order to make them more of an option in the later stages of the game.

There is a reason why the VDV drop does not include any anti-air weapons: Right now, the combination of powerful MG and AT infantry and versatile vehicles makes it quite a formidable fighting force for a rank 3 power that doesn't cost you a single bit of money. The lack of organic air defence is the one natural weakness this power is supposed to have.

actually i will not have any problem with attack helicopters
in 1.85 because i always pick up my favorite upgrade
in C&C ROTR like for the Russians i have always unlock
for them the reserve force and the airborne troopers
and soldiers that drops from the Mi-26 and in 1.85
the reserve will have 3 ZSU-23-4 which will be very effective against air unites so i can finally launch a full airborne and reserve attack without sending my 9K22

Well, considering that we can drop the reserve tanks which will also have shilkas, then i think that AA cover wont be a problem

I hope the Sprut-SD upgrade will get a buff. IMO its too weak, and it would be nice to have some more killing power.

Description

This one is more of a technical change, so I'll keep this factual to get the point across. It has come to our attention that the VDV General Power causes a noticeable lag spike due to the fact that the BMD-4 had two mutually exclusive upgrades, the Sprut tank destroyer and the mortar cannon variant. In order to deal with this issue, we are adding a 'new' vehicle, the BMD-1 and split the two upgrades among the two vehicles. As of version 1.85, the BMD-4s in your drop can be left as they are or upgraded into Sprut tank destroyers while the BMD-1s can be left as they are or upgraded into mortar carriers. This allows us to fix the lag issue, but it also provides a greater incentive to try out the Sprut tank destroyer upgrade instead of turning all vehicles into mortar carriers every time.
