Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
Officially marketed as the Super-Intensity Chemical Laser Operations Protection System - or SICLOPS - but more sensibly referred to as the Cyclops by American troops, this tactical high-energy laser is widely regarded as the ultimate in anti-air defence systems. Its ability to annihilate enemy aircraft and ballistic missiles in flight is unparalleled, if only limited by its massive power consumption. A special naval version of the Cyclops has largely replaced the aging Phalanx CIWS on the newer generation of American warships while the ground-based version has also been delivered to close American allies such as Japan and Israel, where it cast a figurative shield of protection over major military facilities and cities during the Korean Unification War and the Great Middle Eastern War of the 2030s respectively.

actually the real laser system is able to destroy artillery shells as well. a chinese barrage ingame however probly a lil much for a base filled with them lol

Well, i guess the way around this thing is to use the Tremor A.G.A.S...
all commandos are capable of disabling stuff..so...
And many others are capable to disable it due to blasting the sweet out of it. For instance - a sentinel would disable it well, so as a Mantie, or - if you would prefer - a bombtruck. Itsa full o' disablin' methods, mon!
