Description

Update coming soon in september.

After releasing titan's open alpha some weeks ago, I found myself some time to work on q4rip again.
So, with the idea of practicing for titan, decided to give it a try at q4's weapon upgrades to see how it would work. Glad to see it worked better than expected.
So, instead of releasing q4rip open beta next year as originally planned, decided to update the mod a bit earlier.
How earlier? What about next month?

To be fair, weapon upgrades were already ripped for open alpha, just didn't knew how to make them work at that time. That's why I was able to make this update a little bit faster than expected (I mean, there were still few months of wait as usual, but still, I thought it was going to take me more time to learn how to make weapons with different sprites work on the same weapon.)

Since it's a mod that is being redesigned from scratch, the mod still lacks some features from previous iterations. That being said, it's meant to be done later next year.
The open alpha ripped all weapons again for 16:9 ratio and improved the base weapons behaviour while open beta will include the weapon mod's (for the first time ever on alphaent's q4 rips)
The main idea is to merge all "mod's within mod's" that volume 4 offered, as long as it's possible. So, maybe a buymenu or an arena style mode might be amongst the possibilities on future updates, if possible.
