"No Grass, Please!" is an ambitious attempt to rectify some of the mistakes made by Blue Fang and adapt Dinosaur Digs as much as possible to present-day science.
It changes many of the dinosaur stats and behaviors, including biome stats, to make your dinosaur zoo appear more plausible and, hopefully, more true to life.

In addition, the mod aims to add a lot more dinosaur-themed and prehistoric-themed content to the game, from plant life to decorations, in order to create the definitive, be-all-and-end-all dinosaur zoo experience.

Features:
---------
*All herbivores had their aggression levels toned down, as Blue Fang made all its dinosaurs extremely aggressive towards animals and humans alike.
*The biomes (and in some cases, the shelter needs) of all dinosaurs have been rewritten from scratch to resemble what, according to the paleontology of today, they may have looked like in real life.

Installation Instructions:
--------------------------
*Go into the Zoo Tycoon installation directory on your computer.
*Enter the "dlupdate" directory.
*Extract the file "NoGrassPlz.ztd" into the "dlupdate" directory.
**IMPORTANT! You must have the Complete Collection to enjoy everything this mod has to offer.

I Voted all your Mods for MOTY. :3

Will this still be worked on again at some point in the Future? It'd be really crushing if this Mod was Cancelled. :<

Thank you, that is most appreciated.
This mod is on an indefinite hiatus. I might pick it up again eventually but for the moment, I'd rather focus on other things.

Thanks for the compliments. I had a friend make the sounds for this mod, not sure what he used.

HAHA! HOHO! its me... I'm so sorry to bother you with this again, but what program(s) did you use to resound the animals in this mod? Hope I'm not bothering you with this too much. ;) You're awesome BTW!

Hi again, its me! I was just wondering if I could ask you as to how you managed to change the sounds of all the dinosaurs in this mod? I'm curious because I would actually like to resound as many of the animals from the original game as possible myself. Thanks!

From the little I can remember right now, in your mod you create a duplicate directory of the animal you want to resound (for example: "animals/Allo" for the Allosaurus) then put your new sound files in that directory. The new sounds need to have the same names as the old ones (for example: "dig.wav") in order to replace them.

HALP, oh great and awesome P.Rex! Ever since I downloaded your awesome creation, my iguanodons have become so hard to please! Any tips, suggestions, or anything else really?

BTW, have you perhaps considered adding some new dinos to the game? Just asking. :)

Hi Peter, sorry for the late reply. I don't get notified of new comments for some reason.

The mod changes the plant and terrain preferences for all Dinosaur Digs animals in a way that forces the player to be more aware of using assets from the correct time period. So for Iguanodon in particular you can only use plants that grew during the Cretaceous period. No Carboniferous trees (like Lepidodendron), no modern plants, and of course no grass. It might take some trial and error, but if you use most types of ferns and treeferns, horsetails and the Bald Cypress trees, you should be fine.

P.S. Regarding your other question: creating new animals that hatch from eggs is extremely difficult, so until I figure that out I wouldn't be able to create new dinosaurs, unfortunately.
