Actual Genre: Puzzle-Shooter, Horror shooter quest.
Murk is an experimental concept-project created by Michael [Bifurcator] Poltavsky, the author of the Mod of the Year 2018 - Doom Slayer Chronicles и Blood: the curse hunter.

After years of experience in modding, the author has accumulated enough ideas and experience for his own original project.

In his project, the author attempted to realize the gameplay based on the effect of light on monsters and other objects of the game.

The goal of the project is to provide the prototype for the public assessment and move to developing the full game on Unreal Engine in case of positive assessment and support.

The main features of the gameplay:

  • monsters dissapear in the light
  • some monsters are vulnerable only in the light
  • some monsters appear at a short distance from the player
  • the player has the ability to sense the presence of hidden monsters
  • special sources of light, that can be moved as well as turned on and off
  • special objects that are sensitive to light. These objects generate events depending on the illumination.

The gameplay consists of two main parts: a magical first person shooter and puzzle-solving on the interaction of light sources with objects of the environment or opponents.

To date Murk is a Doom 2 total conversion MOD, which efficiently uses the potential of the GZdoom engine and has original and quality visuals, provides high performance on medium configurations.

The author is hoping for the support of the gamers community and welcomes any comments and suggestions.

Here ..this video used the unfixed version of your mod which had some shader problems with Delta touch ..

I already got a fixed version from.a friend which I'll upload a video of later ..

Here is the fix for it ..
Just put these files into the murk folder after extracting the pk3 file ..
Then just repack it and rename it to murk.pk3

You haven't become more humble with your work, as I can see for the "Dairies of A Briliant Mastermind" type of **** that you wrote about yourself in the summary.

Other than that looks good, this is the kind of stuff I like and I would love to play it if you make a "surprise" release for this Halloween.
