Half-Life: Field Intensity

Infiltrate the illusive and infamously mysterious Area 51, also known as Dreamland. Whilst many desire nothing more than to know what secrets the facility holds... you will discover that there are some secrets that are kept in the dark for very good reasons.
Lost in Dreamland is a mod I've been wanting to make for years, since I first started playing Half-life mods.
With an avid fascination in UFO folklore, urban legends and Government Conspiracies I thought it would be brilliant material to translate into a Half-life mod.
This is my first modding project, so it will also be a learning experience. Normally I would make a generic series of rooms with bumbling scientists, but I want to make this a memorable first mod.
Expecting plenty of obstacles along the way, after watching mods for years being developed one does get the impression of how technical and complex the process can get. So I'll be patient with it.
My aim is to create a perhaps somewhat short but detailed and atmospheric story, throwing as many references and details to the UFO phenomena and popular culture that I can without intefering with the gameplay element.
--- --- ---
The story is simple.
You are Ethan Hyre.
Hired by an anonymous source going by the name of "Falcon" to infiltrate a Top Secret Government Facility in the Nevada Desert to gain information on a highly classified project.
Naturally this facility is Area 51. Codename: Dreamland.
For decades the facility has been shrouded in secrecy and mystery, but no more. It's your job to sneak in and expose the truths that have been kept from the world.
Go under cover, steal information, and get out undetected. Easier said than done, because this is unlike any job you've taken before.
With your cover suddenly blown, you have no choice but to defend yourself from the entire facility.
Finding yourself lost in Dreamland, you come to realise that everything the world thought they knew about Area 51 was only scratching the surface of a much deeper mystery.
