Kane's Wrath Unofficial Big Bang Patch 1.04 is a mod that adds few new things and tries to balances the game a bit more from my and the community ideas while at the same time also tries to save the most import ingredient at bay: The "fun".
So they are just a nice easter egg for now, but I may have a role for them in mind for later xP
The real question though.. should I'll make them shoot a lot of weak missiles together, or just 4 (one per lanucher) stronger ones Pitbull's style?
Yeah make them shoot a lot of weak missiles (32 missiles)
or make them 4 but decrease the launch tubes to 4
easter egg unit? make them unload all 32 missiles somewhat quickly, but then also give them ammo counter and make them regenerate it veeeery slowly :p
The Sandstorm MRLS could maybe be an expensive high-tier anti-air unit that could cliffjump in some way? A large burst of weak missiles would be cool, suited to keep the skies clean, but would be less effective against infantry and vehicles.
The jets ability they had in c&c 4 didn't looked that great (actually looked even hilarious) so I don't think I'll add it back (it can also be OP, imagine if Shatterers and Sandstroms would've pop out of nowhere next to your harvesters and run away later xP, it does sound interesting, but I rather leave this privilege to the troopers)
how about give them the ability... and code thier weapons to be AA only?
Dk about that, their launchers scream that they are able to engage both ground and air, if anything in TS the MLS was known to be very bad against aircraft
Maybe make them shoot like how stealth tanks shoot as lots of weak missiles that can clear skies such as swarm of Bees :P
this unit used to be the HMRLS in Tiberian sun, but then GDI redesigned it into the Slingshot in C&C3; and finally replaced the slingshot for as the Sandstorm in C&C4; and surprisingly is back in C&C rivals.
Its why Steel Talons should have this unit as replacement of Slingshot, not only further makes the subfaction more from the 2nd tiberium war along with the Titan. Wolverine and Mammoth MK2 / Mastodon, but also as an idea they can replace AA tungsten shells upgrade for Rocket missle upgrade.

yeah. that mlrs is a good idea to replace the slingshot in steel talons. all the units from c&c 4 should be added but the old ones from c&c3; should be used also.
I vote missile barrage.
Please,do not do it like the one in TWA mod.
I suggest normal missiles for firing and if possible the barrage described above as an ability.

I'd vote for a rapid volley of less effective projectiles instead of stronger ones with moderate reload time. Also, an option for some kind of anti-infantry upgrade, for example a machine gun turret, would be nice.
I vote for firing 16 medium strength missiles per volley while the other half get reloaded just like they do in real life MLRS
