What has started as a skinpack, now has developed into a fullscale historical mod for Company of Heroes 1.
As a start, Multiplayer gameplay stays the same, the focus lies on presentation:

Almost any vehicle of the game has been supplied with random skins, foilage or stowage, each skin designed according to historical sources. Many models have been overhauled. Even wrecks have been reskinned to properly match the vehicle.

Infantry units also use a broad variety of uniforms and lots of HD skins have been added.

No more anachronisms -

In the camapigns you will only see units and weapons that have taken part in the historical battle, or have at last been used in Normandy or during Market Garden.
Campaign missions have been altered to involve historical units & skins, like german Fallschirmjager in Carentan or 12th SS Panzerdivision in Authie, 82nd Airborne in Causeway, 7th Armored Division in the Tiger Ace campaign, 1st British Airborne in Market Garden & many more. NIS Movies were changed accordingly.

As in almost every mod, lots of community vehicles are added & reworked to represent your and the enemy forces correctly.

Optimized for Singleplayers

The Mod also contains some community custom missions,like "Joint Operations" as well as a kind of new campaign - a few encounters that were originally made by Relic but never made it into the Final Release. I have "historised" and partly enlraged them and added a few selfmade missions as well.

The standard campaigns have been be slightly enhanced, giving you a few extra missions to play.

Campaigns also provide the Player with a broader variety of units to choose from, depending on the mission and the forces involved.

Phase 1: More History & Singleplayer Missions

This is more or less an expanded skinpack. Historical and random skins and better Graphics add to the Immersion. All campaigns are altered to reflect historic correct units and vehicles. Anchronisms have been eliminated, but the Gameplay will stay close to the original version. Additions to the forcepool only happen in Campaigns or Custom Missions while the Multiplayerpart remains untouched.

Phase 2: More Realism

The second installment will use more realistic weapon data, as seen in Blitzkrieg or BotB. Weapon penetration, vehicle speed and turret rotation as well as squad sizes will be altered to match ( as far as possible in CoH )the historical values. Squad equipment will be more authentical, also in Skirmish / Multiplayer.

Campaigns & Missions will be edited accordingly, also include even more historical equipment, as the consistency with vCoH is out of the window anyway. ;)

( for example: Germans will use more Pak 40 than Pak 38, Commandos will be taken off the Carpiquet mission (never took place )the Counterattack there will include 1st SS Panthers & much more )

New units like Sig33 Gun, Challenger Tanks , Char B1 Flame tank and various others will be added subsequently, as well as more skins will be HD.

Phase 3: Focus On Skirmish

Phase 3 will see the Muliplayer/Skirmish part heavily altered as well.

New units , new doctrine trees, different divisions to choose from. The aim is to make a realistic, historical Battle of Normandy Mod. Those of you who know/ played "Battle of the Bulge" might guess where I am heading.

At last: The long-awaited final Version of Immersion 1944 Phase One. (1.0) will be released.

Due to Christmas, I lack time to provide a proper Installer for now. So I will release it as Open Beta, which should be working as well, but gives me the opportunity to adress problems that might have slipped through ( they always do! ) due to the hasty release. The mod has been intensively tested though, but you knwer know.

Here is a small list of just of major changes which might explain the long wait. Thx for your patience, guys.

- hopefully solved all mission crashes & repaired non-working ones.
- enhanced and polished a lot of missions
- further corrected historical inaccuracies in skins and missions ( still work in progess)
- Removed the unhistorical Bridges from the Carentan missions
- Added new Mission "Barkmanns Corner" to US Campaign ( reworked "Autry" ) as US units didnt encounter Tigers until after Falaise
- exchanged British units with Canadian 3rd Infantry Division in "Authie",swapped Cromwells for Shermans where possible, corrected 17th SS to 12th
- added Crusader AA for British and Staghound AA to the canadian missions
- added some more units for the Germans: Renault FT 17, Sdkfz 7/2,leIG18, Pak 36, Wespe, Grille, SdKfz -251/2 and Sdkfz 251/10
- exchanged the Bergetiger with an SdKfz 9 for Panzerelite in Campaign & skirmish, stats in skirmish remain the same
- changed the defending Army in "Best" to from PE to Wehrmacht, because it was not the 9th SS but the 59th - Infantry Division which defended it
- exchanged Waffen SS with Fallschirmjäger from Kamfgruppe Jungwirth in "Return to Valkenswaard" and Tigers back to Jagdpanthers
- added Ostruppen to german defenders in Montebourg, Cherbourg, Nan-White Beach and Oeration Deadstick
- added proper armpatches for all Commonwealth Infantry
added HD Skins and non-mirroring ranks for Wehrmacht units, non-mirorring arm eagles for SS Infantry ( still work in progess)

- Completely new sounds!!

Immersion 1944 now contains the new "Ultimate Sound Mod" by XFX that features much more authentic weapon- and even engine sounds and fixes a lot of sound bugs of the original game.

Is possible to play multiplayer in this mod? And how, I guess that the other player must have installed the mod and configured the access so that he can play in a game without getting an error that the host has another version of coh. Sorry to ask but I new into this

sure, both need the same version of coh and the mod installed. but there is yet another important configuration : You both need to set the "model detail" slider to maximimum.

Okey, those settings will be helpful, I gonna try it. For now I really enjoying playing the campaign in expert difficulty, thanks for doing this mod and still active despite you're working in other projects.

The game crashes very often if playing it with friends sometimes the tank or soldier and even crater textures are completely pink and then the game crashes so it seems like its mostly for singleplayer...

Multiplayer is not really supported yet, as the mod focuses on the missions. MP Gameplay is completely vanilla anyway by now.

Hi team, amazing mod. you mention a future discord server to follow the mod dvpt. could you post the link please?
Also not sure where to post a bug comment (here or in the forum?) found one where the medal cannot be won for Pegasus bridge since the HQ glider is not accessible. keep up the good work
