This mod aims to replace or improve textures in game with new high resolution work while retaining the original feeling and color palette of the game. Characters in game will be given much higher variety of uniforms, equipment and decals which will allow for much deeper experience for those who want to revisit the game or play it for the first time after long time. The textures are redone using original ones as base whenever possible (most are still nice and have at least basic realism) to retain original design, but all textures are upscaled to twice (or more) of original resolution, sharpened, and have decals either redrawn, or replaced with as much reverence to realism as possible. In effect the skins are extra realistic, but also don't look out of place - everything is done as to not ruin the original scene background and color palette that has been developed specially for SPR and MoHAA.

Description

Hello here's another one of updates, I'm still working on new vehicle textures. Some time ago new texture for Panzer IV was revealed, but with camouflage for summer mainland variant in Normandy. Here is second one, the desert camo variant employed by Afrika Korps which we could see in first mission.

For most part the camo pattern is kept the same as it was in vanilla game, but slightly readjusted to make it more like real-world counterpart. Instead of sand-brown yellow mixed with black, this version keeps the desert yellow paint but on dark-grey Panzergrau primary paint. As previously mentioned with Opel Blitz, DAK vehicles' desert camo was often painted on-location onto default German paint in Panzergrau color (very dark grey), and as the desert paint was chipping off from use and wear in harsh desert conditions, it revealed the old Panzergrau layer underneath. Here this layer is also partially employed to create the camo pattern, instead of pitch-black like in vanilla texture. On top of that, more visible wear and tear was done on all elements. New details of DAK palm-tree was also added, and details of previously missing hatches and engine grill details were added back (this variant for some reason was missing it).

So here's that, all in all this texture is probably most faithful to original design but also most improved in quality over it. Hope you like it, and more will follow soon
