This mod aims to replace or improve textures in game with new high resolution work while retaining the original feeling and color palette of the game. Characters in game will be given much higher variety of uniforms, equipment and decals which will allow for much deeper experience for those who want to revisit the game or play it for the first time after long time. The textures are redone using original ones as base whenever possible (most are still nice and have at least basic realism) to retain original design, but all textures are upscaled to twice (or more) of original resolution, sharpened, and have decals either redrawn, or replaced with as much reverence to realism as possible. In effect the skins are extra realistic, but also don't look out of place - everything is done as to not ruin the original scene background and color palette that has been developed specially for SPR and MoHAA.

User Qlastic is providing us with AI upscales of in-game textures, including these vehicle models, providing very high resolution with previously unachieveable details. You can't really see that in this screen which is heavily compressed (oh irony), but the textures he done have very high 4k resolution and each detail is visible, like the dashboard of the jeep up above. So much thanks to him!

Very nice work!
I'm sure you also noticed, but the mudguards don't have a texture in the inside

Yes but that is model problem, not texture. The inside of the passenger sidecar also has non-textured model part, but it's not very visible unless one closes in too much. Should be fixable by model edit

Nice work, glad to see the proper Olive Drab on the Jeep. I assume you'll probably be reskinning the derelict Sherman in the same level that way too?

Yes I'm trying to but it's more complicated as it has few bugs in model, in some pieces texture is strung-out plus the side panels of armor have mirrored texture which for example means decals can't be added there. So it will require some more work and figuring out how to make it suck less, I think I'll just leave it for last

Description

Hello guys, here's another part of retextures, this time it's light recon vehicles of both sides - American Willys Jeep and German BMW R75.

Jeep received a recolor to be closer to real olive-drab colors american vehicles were painted in WWII, as well as with added more details of wear and scratches over the used areas for more authenticity. AI upscaling of texture also brought out previously non-visible details, and now the Jeep has good looking dashboard details, together with sweetheart photo taped on:)

The German R75 motorcycle was underused in vanilla game to such point some people consider it to be cut content. In promotional pre-release screens we could see this motorcycle in few places (most notably motorpool near lighthouse bunker in m1l3), but in release version it was removed and only placed in African airfield mission, where you only pass it during Jeep ride (so you can't really walk around and view the model). Now however I plan to re-add some content to map in places where it fits, including BMW R75.
Here it is done in three variants, similar to other vehicles I made. Default one was in desert colors, so it was made in Afrika Korps color scheme, with markings replaced with DAK decals.
Second variant is in tri-color "string" camouflage pattern, common way light vehicles were camouflaged in Normandy. Third is in standard Panzergrau color, default color scheme of early war German vehicles, often left painted this way to end of war in rear, non-combat or staff units.
