Greetings!

First of all, an new demo for the mod has been released. After going through so many iterations of the chapter in which none of them worked well, i'm comfortable with this final iteration of the chapter.

You can download it now! Make sure you've played the Part One Demo before, you can check it out here.

It takes 45 minutes from start to finish on Hard. If it's too difficult, you can always play it on Normal or Easy. Also, music is recommended to stay on and full volume.

If you see an bug or an glitch, please report me in the comments section or contact me in DM, i will try to release an bugfix as soon as possible. Hope you enjoy the demo.

THINGS FOR THE FUTURE:

Since the forth chapter was too difficult to develop, i have to be honest that i've lost some motivation to continue with this project. Money, work and more personal stuff takes so much energy that it barely have inspiration to work with. But still, i'm glad to continue and finally get working on the Chapter 5, even if i'm still planning some concepts, here's some snippets of the actual Chapter 5 concept:

Of course, it will change in the future. Even new enemies, weapons and that stuff. If everything goes right, i will post another update of it, any feedback would be really appreciated.

Since started working again on the mod, it taught me a lot of using the keyboard for the Hammer Editor for more advanced techniques and terrain creation. And also following the suggestion of 23-down, i've modified the last Chapter 3 map and it should look better than before and get me prepared of an possible Xen chapter.

Sure, it would have been better just recreate the whole map but it could took me a whole lot of time recreating existing maps than creating new ones. So, i'm just gonna leave it at that for now.

And that should be of today's update of the mod, hope you really enjoy the new demo that it took me some time to get it right. Any feedback would be really appreciated and to continue working and polishing for the final release. (if everything comes right, of course).

Open spaces with little cover + hitscanning/homing enemies + extremely rare armor pickups = frustration.

In Half-Life, encounters with Soldiers and Vortigaunts always had strategically-placed objects to act as cover like pillars and crates. When I play Insecure, I find myself playing around corners way too much, whether it be poking my head out for a split second repeatedly or just waiting for someone to round the corner to get hit by my shotgun.

This is how HL mapping should be, decently detailed without going overboard with brushes and using textures that are either straight from the base game cleverly used or new ones added that fit the artstyle.

Too many people forget it's a '98 game and cram so much in places, as well as use unfitting texture packs that it loses its charm.

Good architecture and brushwork + tastefully detailed environments + interesting scripted sequences = Success

Hey there! I'm a really big fan of this since it's technically the only Security Guard mod other than Azure Sheep that works on my version of Xash3D. But I wanted to ask if I could try voice acting for this project. I really love the idea of it and I'd honestly be happy to provide my voice for it! If you need any proof of my voicework I'll send you a link. I really like this mod and I wish the best for you and it in the future. [I also saw the comment about you wanting an experienced voice actor so that's another reason why I'm offering] Please let me know if you have any concerns or worries and I'd be happy to clarify if need be. (VERY minor spoilers ahead (?))

Creator, as a major HL1 fan I have to say... Your mod is absolutely PHENOMENAL. I really loved it and I'm definitely looking forward to the full release! The experience was so unique, even compared to the original Half-Life games! It really felt like you were driving a story especially with that cam area towards the end and the mapping is amazing! Thank you for this great experience, I think this may be one of the best, if not THE best Half-Life mods I've ever played.

Wow this mod is really amazing! It feels definitely like something Valve or Gearbox could have made. Well done on the high quality!

I have two questions, will you have new voice lines recorded for the scientists and guards? I know of a few mods that have used voice actors that almost sound like the actual voice actors used by Valve.

Last question, will you consider adding more opposing force weapons such as the desert eagle and M249?

About the first question; Perhaps in the future if some good talented voice actor can contribute to the project, i'm totally fine with that!

The second question; Probably not, since i'm not conformed with the old blocky weapons from Opfor with the high-poly models from Blue Shift. But, it can change in the future too.

You could adapt models from Condition Zero, it has M249.
