Survival is a customized version of Half-Life 2: Deathmatch that puts a greater emphasis on staying alive rather than just eliminating opponents. In this mod, players must employ stealth tactics to avoid getting killed and work together as a team to increase their chances of survival. The gameplay is more realistic than the original, with players losing a point for every death, a slower walking speed, and bullets that inflict more damage. Additionally, first-person deaths, limited ammunition with only one extra magazine per weapon, increased gravity and fall damage, and altered medkit values add to the challenge.
