Synergy is a Half-Life 2 co-opertive multiplayer modification.

We have evolved from multiple mods (DC Co-op 2, Dev Co-op and Tim-Coop). This modification strives to give Half-Life players a true Half-Life 2 cooperative experience.

The mod features our own levels and the ability to play the Half-Life 2, Episode One and Episode Two campaigns cooperatively.

In addition, you can add more content by installing third-party mods, such as ROCK 24 and MINERVA: Metastasis, then playing them in Synergy!

Hello Half-Life/Hard-Life/Synergy fans,

Sorry about the long wait for updates, Schedules have not been friendly over time yet fury_161 has taken some time out to show our current "Office Complex" chapters shown in a YouTube video below.

Consider joining our community and discussing openly any opinions that you may have. We are all aware that changing Half-Life may not be everyone's cup of tea. This mod may not be for everyone but those who appreciate our outlook are more than welcome.

Our changelog is extremely extensive and is not publicized. Every other night I take time to program with our other team members. Getting results is a bit more important than updating a log with minor improvement features.

Terrible mod. Synergy fans have deluded themselves into thinking it was ever good. It wasn't. It always sucked ***. Go play Obsidian Conflict instead.

Tried Obsidian Conflict cause of your comment, tested it out, and got disappointed.

I think I'll stick to Synergy.

Bro chill, I dont think there should be a reason to hate Synergy. Its simply Half-Life 2 but Coop, and it does a great job on that.
But I havent played Obsidian Conflict yet so I shouldnt blame you yet. Do you hate Synergy because Obsidian Conflict has more interesting features?

I hate it because of 2 reasons. 1: the mod just sucks, and doesn't deserve the level of popularity it has. The maps look like they were made by 9-year-olds, there is a lack of new features, the mod is horribly unbalanced for any less than 4 players, and much more. 2: Unnecessary donation begging. The mod is not nearly good enough to deserve donations. Not to mention you can't even get donation perks because they were only handed out during updates. And since the last update was in 2019, you can't get them anymore.

I understand your opinion.
You did mentioned actual flaws from the mod, the original maps are extremely poor in terms of design and its a pain in the neck to beat the game if there's not enough players, bust there's some reasons why its still popular:
1. There are many community servers like Friendly Crowbar that try to enrich the experience with chat commands, ally npcs like headcrabs or combine soldiers, as well as having additional free skins that you can gets in the workshop.
2. About the unbalanced thing, I bet it was definetly made for lots of players on the same server, but there's an option when hosting a server called Vintage Mode, which disables that completely. Sure its not enabled on the community servers, but it's there in case you want to host with a friend.
3. I think the main reason why its so popular is because its available on Steam as a free HL2 mod, which makes it the easiest way to play HL2 but coop. And I know, Obsidian Conflict is also on Steam, but it's still not available in there. Sure its pretty easy to download OC thought ModDB, but it's far easier on Steam.

I did saw some of the features OC has and they were interesting. In fact, I tried the game one time, but when I looked at the server browser, there was literally nothing, so I uninstalled it along with some other mods to have some free space in my computer.

Personally, I'll stick with Synergy since it's just seamless HL2 coop, plus I have played it for about five months and I got used to these flaws, and if you prefer OC, that's not bad.

Мертвая модификация, большая часть серверов пустует, а те ,что имеют онлайн держатся на 4 игроках максимум.
