It is not 100% perfect but it does work, so I'd say 90%, the turret is friendly to nearly all the friendly npc's, I'm still testing and find that the turrets won't attack alyx when she follows but when shes not is does attack her as if her npc code has changed.
When you get your copy of my mod follow these instructions to get it working on your game.
After you have read the readme contained in the winzip file and installed the mod, follow these ingame instructions:
When in the menu go to Options and then Keyboard, then click on Advanced, Tick the Developer Console box and click apply. Back on the main menu start a level.
On the level press your console key.
The console key is different to each country (UK-`. US-~.), type the following into each of the Half Life 2 games and Synergy:
Type:
bind 0 "sv_cheats 1"
Then press 0 to activate cheat mode when you start a new game or level.
For the Friendly Turret type:
bind Y "exec turret"
When you press Y it will spawn a friendly turret.
Hopefully you all have fun :-D
I will update the odd bugs when I can :-D
And I will include news of possible new turret mods I may include in this mod profile.

i could tell you how to add it into the mod via Steam Voice chat but from the look of those pics Combine troops are a large part of it, i have the mod set up to kill all Combine including Zombine, so the mod may go, oooooo Kill Kill Kill, lol
Hello there CommanderWasp1x,
First of all i wanted to thankyou for this turret mod,
For years i have been trying to spawn a turret, wich is friendly, but have not been able to,
Most particulary there is an map i have been trying to get it to work in, 2 mods named: Antlion Troopers and Antlion Troopers Deuce,
When recently installing those mods i was unable to get them to work anymore, but i manage to solve it by starting them in Synergy mod,
I am able to Spawn the Turrets there, however the turrets attack Me and my allies, the Combine, I myself am also classed as an combine i think because the turrets i spawn also shoot at me.
I was wondering how i can make the Combine also Friendly in your mod, or if u maby can help me make an special modified file for this mod,
I think u will love that mod aswell, its Entirely build around the point of defence with turrets!!!

I enjoyed this mod, although how did you make it so the turrets can be put back after they are tipped over?
its built into the game like when your in Nova Prospet before you added my mod, when your turrets tip you simply pick them up to correct them so my mod uses that system :-)
