Glock render.
That is one sexy glock, it is so smooth.
Yeah, it looks very good!
Whoa, nice details on everything! And the texturing is really great! HOW CAN YOU CALL THIS A WIP!?!?
I can call
Dude that's not a glock 18c :/ it looks more like a Glock 17 which is only semi auto. Glock 18s have a little selector switch on the left side for semi & full auto or 3 round burst. Usually its 3 round burst especially on the 18c models as only the larger & older 18 models were full auto.
I know that in the old BS it fires full auto but the model was clearly labeled as Glock 17. They retained the full auto function since the older beta model was a Glock 18 & they didn't want to recode the whole thing for a new model due to time limitations I believe.
That said here is a few reference pics in case some one doesn't understand what im bantering about :P

Glock 18 & 18c (old 18c models have a longer barrel with 3 slits at the top to direct the exhaust gases upward & counter the guns recoil while firing full auto.)

The glock in Half-Life wasn't an Glock 18. It didn't have the select fire switch. It was never said that the secondary fire on the Glock was full-auto it was just assumed by fans. It was more like Gordon shooting faster. And I know it was originally a Glock 18. The guys making this mod is probably trying to stick with the final version of the gun
Yes in the retail version the Glock was the 17 model but if you look at some of the early beta models its clearly labeled as a Glock 18.
The original development team changed it to the Glock 17 but did not removed the secondary full auto function due to time limits & the fact it would force them to recode the Glock from scratch.
I also wish to add a little bit of constructive criticism; the ejector port is too long; unless that fires a revolver round. Granted, we more than likely won't see it much from the right side in the game, but just wanted to throw that out there (though we might see the top of the gun as well, so). Also, are you going to add tritium tubes to the rear sight (night sight) as well?
Hey man, 17 or 18c - it's a Glock and that's all that matters to me when it's time for gettin' the job done ! As fine a model as you can get right here.
True but the 17 is the old model & 18c was the newer version intended for military & law enforcement & security forces only.
Since the original beta glock was the 18c I assume that the original makers of the HL series intended the security guards to be well trained & equipped as if they were x military or private military contractors.
Yeah, that's likely. Point taken.
very nice but it doesnt look like a g18c at all! its looks like a g17 or something... + you forgot the G brand on the side
yeah but a glock 18C can shoot fully automatic whilst a G17 only has burst and semi auto big difference...
No only the early production & prototype Glock 18s fired full auto with a rate of fire of about 1300-1500 rounds per minute. The full auto function was removed since it wasted ammunition & accuracy essentially went out the window. This is why all current production Glock 18s & 18c (18c since its the compact version) are limited to a controlled 3 round burst.
Glock 17s. 19s & others are semi auto only, they have never had been or will be full auto on the production models. The only full autos Ive seen of thos were all custom modified Glocks by professional gunsmiths.
Wait...
WASN'T IT A M92 IN BLUE SHIFT???
the Beretta was added later in HL series with the HD expansion pack.
Is the Glock gonna have a separate ammo reserve from the MP5 (it always bugged me that the Glock & the MP5 shared an ammo reserve, as their magazines look nothing alike) in Guard Duty?
