We're thrilled to announce the return of the Imperivm game expansion, “Greek Civilization MOD.” This revolutionary MOD introduces the Greek civilization. The original Greek MOD was first released on September 1st, 2017 up through version 1.8. Now, the Greek MOD has been fully renewed and updated by the Mediterranevm Team. They've added new structures, units, and some truly innovative gameplay features.

This MOD takes you back to the world of ancient Greece. Lead your city-state through the Golden Age of Athens or the maritime empire of Sparta. Conduct research at the beginninng of civilization as you discover new technologies. Train armies of hoplites, cavalry and navy ships to defend your lands or expand your territory. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of classical Greece through this thoroughly revamped MOD. We hope you enjoy exploring this fascinating new civilization in Imperivm!

MOD Installation Instructions:

In order to download and install the Greek Civilization MOD you can easily get it from the Files section. Simply download the file (or file + patches if any) from the link and unpack the zip file WITHIN the main game folder of any vanilla version of the game (Version 1.40 from the old game disc or Steam version).

After extracting the game folder , right click the executable (gbr.exe) and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and check the boxes for "Override high DPI scaling behavior" and "Scaling performed by: System". This ensures the game runs properly regardless of your display settings.

Now you can use the Launcher application included to set your language and resolution preferences (To activate the changes, you need to close and reopen the launcher window). The game is now ready to play with the fully renewed Greek civilization content. Let us know if you have any other questions!

New 2.3 MOD Features:

Version 2.3 introduces several new features and units. Two new factions have been added - the Ancient Roman Republic and an expanded and refined Greek civilization. Ancient Republic Rome is basically a brand-new variant of Rome so it is similar and different when compared to its vanilla Republican and Imperial counterparts. Carthage shamans and German enchantresses can finally automatically spellcast their curse abilities.

Balancing throughout has been improved with the addition of new units. For example, Greeks receive a new recruiting fort structure and Numidians gain a camp structure randomly generated all over the game map. Therefore, new units and buildings have been added to the game. There are many more adventures and a brand-new conquest mission as well as old soundtracks coming back.

Quality of life improvements include keyboard shortcuts for easier navigation. Altars now show borders and there are new adventures to explore. Greeks buildings also have improved graphic contrast. The soldier roster received visual enhancements too.

Fishermen, first added in version 1.8, continue to automatically gather food when moving between villages and ports. Revolutionary technologies avoid patrol detection or army detection bubbles. Captured horses can now be transformed into Iberian riders at the village.

Britons gain the ability to ambush opponents with hidden traps, a new capability since version 2.0. Overall this is a major update that both expands existing civilizations and improves the gameplay experience.

How to install the Mod

Installers Tutorial

Hello everyone! As many of you already know, unfortunately, I have to modify the download process of the Greek Mod (from version 2.3 onwards). From now on, you won't find the entire game already modified in the files section, but you will ONLY find the folders with the contents of the MOD. In this regard, to install and therefore play the MOD, you will need to have a clean version of the game such as the old vanilla version from the disk or the Steam version (in the latter case, you will need to delete the "settings.ini" and "currentlang" folders), or any previous version of the Greek Mod. Therefore, the installation will consist of extracting the zipped folder INTO the main game folder and allowing the files to overwrite. After that, as always, you should patch the executable and set the correct language and screen resolution settings from the game launcher. Here's the way to do it step by step:

Setting the proper compatibility options is important but often overlooked. Right-clicking the executable, accessing Properties, and going to the Compatibility tab can resolve common scaling and display problems:

instructions

With the compatibility settings adjusted correctly, the game should detect your screen resolution automatically without requiring manual overrides. This small tweak makes a big difference in gameplay quality and experience.

If anyone is still facing resolution or compatibility woes with Imperivm after downloading the game, I encourage checking these compatibility settings. A quick fix may be just a click away from fully enjoying the Great Battles of Rome.

After making the necessary compatibility changes, players will also want to launch the game through the installer application rather than the executable directly. The launcher provides quick access to set both your preferred language and screen resolution. Taking a moment to select these options ensures all text and graphics appear as initially intended.

Hello there! I'm playing this mod since the beginning with my friends from time to time, and I enjoy it a lot. I like the new content that arriving nowadays, and of course wishing for more. Let me share some ideas:
-Most importantly we feel the two superpowers are still over the rest, these are Carthage and Rome.
-I like the latest updates for the greeks, I just wish they would have thracian mercenaries (they had mercenaries at some point as I remember). Also to see the faction separated to polises like rome to eras would be nice, and is there a way to make their gold economy better?
-It feels weird to see viking lord with the britons, I always felt like they belong to the germans (especially when they cry valhalla). Instead I suggest the brits to have mounted skirmishers or chariots wich they used against Ceasar.
-I remember the greeks had a ranged peltast at a time, I think that model could be used to be levied militiamen (like minuteman in aoe3) they could have been brought in with the wall strengthening spell once per match.
-Would there be a way to make teuton wolves included into the german roster and to the unit type change up spell?
That's all for now, I would be pleased to see only one of these ideas being helpful for you, but even if not we will stick with the mod, so thank you!

Hi! Thank you for enjoying the Greek Mod! What do you mean by two superpowers? U mean Carthage and Rome are stronger than the other factions? As for the last update I can tell you there might be further updates in store for you guys. However I highly doubt there'll ever be a Thracian warrior (there is only one guy in Italy who makes new assets for this game so if you're intersted, I think (but not 100% sure) he might make any kind of unit or building for you if paid to do so. Vikings were actually closer to Britain than other regions back then so I guess it's fine although I admit it would be nuts to see Britain chariots. That old peltast model is very outdated and Ellenistic peltasts were like light hoplites at the end of the day. Wolfriders are like mercenaries and Germans already have a larger roster (within the fortress) compared to other factions. However, despite this bad news, I can tell you a small update featuring some small fixes and a new ritual is soon to be released. I hope many more updates will eventually come out as well ;) !

you're right about the germans and viking lord I guess. one thing I forgot to mention is to being able to choose winter or desert weather before starting a match would be also nice. can you give me an e-mail to discuss the idea of making new assets?

Unfortunately, it takes the source code (unavailable) to restore the winter/spring option in single player matches. Sure! My email is arossini.far@gmail.com

ENG - Hello everyone! As many of you already know, unfortunately, I have to modify the download process of the Greek Mod (from version 2.3 onwards).
