Grandeur: Seven Years War

News

The second of my "Grandeur" re-skins of Napoleonic Wars, Seven Years War will aim to transform the game into the year 1756, focusing on the conflicts fought on the European continent. Unlike my other mods i am striving for historical accuracy in almost every capacity.

This unbelievably lovely website, offering a wealth of information:

In the beginning this mod was just a personal project for me where I used a combination of other mods, and thus, would not have been possible without the following:

Mod credits to their respective creators:

Twilight of The Sun King - Small model meshes
Whigs and Tories - Small hat meshes
Age of False Innocence - a Seven Years' War mod - Original body mesh
Blood and Iron - Animations/Gun Sounds

Status: RELEASED

Here i will post some of my development screenshots:

Love the mod, but is there any way of restoring the possibily of using first person view?

The mod is well done, the models look great, but there are drawbacks. 1. 1-person view is not available (personally, I cannot turn it on) 2. Optimization, there may be a problem with my PC, but the mod sometimes jerked me. These are the main disadvantages, not counting the minor flaws. There are claims to the uniform of Russian soldiers. Instead of the city militia, you can draw a model of the land militia, and instead of the townspeople, foot Cossacks or just peasants.

I really love it, it's weird how much a simple reskin and some change of the animations can change it. Although I did find two bugs, and maybe a third I'm not sure if it counts.
1. Whenever you don't have anything equip the forearms and hands just disappear, they seem to return after around 5 seconds when re-equipping something though.
2. You're not able to go into first person.
3. Sometimes when either a player or npc dies their body just flops to the ground immediately. No animation or ragdoll.

Again these aren't THAT game breaking except maybe the 1st problem I had either way you did a phenomenal job just like your other two mods

the disappearing forearms as far as i know is only an issue when it takes too long loading the game if you have background tasks etc. We made it so you cant go first person because the hat blocks your view (just how it was developed for variety and historical accuracy) and that animation thing is something i might fix.
