Looks a bit fake, but nice start nonetheless :')

Of course IT IS fake, lol. But I think this impression is due to the colors which do not look absolute authentic so far. And some fuzziness might smooth it out as well. Apart from that, I think it's not too far away from looking realistic, don't you?

No, needs some tweaking but its a nice effect! Though...when will it occur? after rainfall ofc?

and will we find some loot at the end? :D

What do you say now? Better? I've re-uploaded the image in a newer version of the colors.

As for "when will it occur" - see my reply below ;-)

Yes xD its cool, and looks good... but in my eyes, not fitting for the zone. And i think this shader would be nice if you added it to oil or water like surfaces :)

Disagree. One reason I made this is because it fits the Zone VERY WELL. Look at the weather, always an alternating mixture between sun and rain - perfect conditions for rainbows to show up!

It's not coloured well as you said, once you suss that bit it could look the part but how will it be included. When and why will it appear, will it only appear briefly based on the weather ie when it stops raining and becomes sunny or what? Are there limitations to how you get to implement it?

As you stated correctly the appearance must be controlled by some condition set - like it's the case with sun shafts as well. Triggers might be sunlight, sun height, weather, day of time, level, wetness among others, probably a combination of some of them. Not sure yet what will fit best, will take some extensive testing and tweaking in order to get a convincing result I guess.

Did you REALLY have to make it a double rainbow?

If you ask like that: Yes I REALLY had to! ;-)

But it will only be noticeable if the primary bow is highly intense, like in that image. Otherwise you'd see only a single rainbow - similar to reality!

It's looking better, i reckon it will make a nice unusual addition to Stalker although I think it should be extremely rare maybe even only an event that happens in certain areas, Radar maybe. Something you only see once or twice in a playthrough. maybe if you see it for the first time when you travel through the Radar after turning off the scorcher?

Every cloud has a silver lining.

I probably will make the conditions configurable like almost everything in my mod :-)

However things like what you intend to do will require the user/modder to script his favored conditions himself, as I'm not able to provide a configurable condition set fitting everyone's favors. Hope you understand that.

Just stick to the secondary rainbow and leave out the first. This is a bit too much.

I need to emphasize effects a bit in these images so that people not viewing the fullscreen pic see what I mean. Besides, I like it that way! But I will make things configurable as always.

the colours need to be less pronounced, but apart from that looks pretty realistic.
