Doom 3 Evolution is a Single-Player Game-Play Conversion Mod. It is meant to be played with original Doom 3 storyline/levels. Closing words for Rev2.
Doom 3 Evolution Revision 2 is now FINISHED (as the title suggests). After I finished 2.2 I was thinking about going back in but I quickly realised there're no more bug complaints, no more requirements and since D3E has always been a community driven projec,t I just didn't feel any reason to continue to iterate existed. On the Sikkmod update. I just don't feel it is necessary. The changes to the graphical side of SikkMod 1.2 (ones I use) and the ammount of time i need to put into this in order to merge the two mods is simply not worth it from my point of view. I apologise to anyone thinking otherwise, but I simply don't have the time to deal with it.
That being said. The mod is not dead. Chances are at some point I will go back to it and release a new Revision. No promises at this point and it may be some time so for now.
THIS is the final version for this revision. I have no plans to iterate at this point.
I'd like to thank everyone for the support and feedback you gave me, this mod would be nothing without the people who play it and report back. In retrospective I should have recruited some play-testers and not done the testing on my own. Maybe in the next revision.
My work on the mod was a lot of fun, I hope you playing it was a lot of fun as well.

Will this work with the Steam version of Doom 3? If I could buy it from Desura, I would! Honest! :D But Steam have D3 on special offer at the moment and I was wondering...? :) Without this mod, I don't want to play the D3. So it's kinda important to me. Thanks!
I am trying to find out if it works with the DOOM3BFG edition. So far, I do not think it is working.
I imagine if Dungeon Doom was playable through doom 3's singleplayer.
The menus are hard to read since the letters are too small. Character leveling would be nice. And add more pistol ammo, then makes pistol level up requirement higher.
Alright Gents, the SIKK mod version of this mod is absolute and pure utter bullfuckingcrap, don't touch that **** unless you feel like gauging your eyes out with rusty sporks, because seriously, it will **** over your doom 3 installation harder than a spetznaz opperative does the US government.
The graphics look like absolute crap, the textures are set back to the lowest quality, the shader mods added to this are in no way compatible with the latest NVidia cards/drivers and screw up visuals even further (let alone HUGE fps drops for the most simplest things to render) and worst of all, the entire gameplay is ****** up.
What happened to that tutorial level up in the screenshots section?
Why the **** can I not use any weapons?
How the hell do you even interact with the interface?
Why does my class keep getting reset?!
Is there a default config for this particular Sikkmod version? I don't feel like ******* around with all the YES/NO options just to see which will or won't be compatible/crash this mod.
