Deus Ex Community Update Version 2.4.1
Patch 7 commentsFixed Render List & Custom Logo During Install I accidently borked the render list display in the last release, so fixed that. (Thanks Kezyma!) Also noticed...
### What this is:
Just Deus Ex - ready to play!
With all 10 known text translations, along with many extras for editing.
Specifically has numerous community made engine level fixes on top of the proper 1112fm (GOTY) patch, without the broken maps shipped on retail versions.
Actual gameplay code is identical, warts and all!
Also includes a dedicated multiplayer setup, plus the original 2 mission demo updated to the latest version.
Features the new Lay D Denton Project as an install option, a female JC Denton player mod!
Selected by default is the fantastic mod:
#### Deus Ex: Transcended
As described by it's creator:
Built largely for first timer players, Deus Ex: Transcended is a mod focused solely around faithfulness to the original, while bringing an unmatched arsenal of bug fixes, paired with key notes of Quality of Life changes.
Sticklers may still wish to play the game how it was originally made - so the option to easily deselect this is available.
However as a stickler myself, *it's worth it*.
Warning: Vanilla and Transcended saves are not compatible with each other!
Also selected by default is "Confix", a conversation typo and logic patch.

### Latest version download: Drive.google.com
Simply install and run from the created "Play Deus Ex" shortcut in your Start menu under the Deus Ex Community Update Folder.
This was tested on the 1112fm disc/Steam/GOG versions, but should work on every copy of Deus Ex available, if it doesn't please let us know! (Make sure however you use a fresh copy for guaranteed intended functionality, as many mods like to overwrite core files.)
Note: For some currently unknown reasoon on German copies of Windows past versions of the installer crash, possibly current ones as well. If you encounter any issues rename the .exe to a .7z, extract and follow the instructions in the ReadMe.

### About:
This is an unofficial patch package assembled by the Deus Ex community and Xen's Deus Ex Archive:
DXCHQ Discord (DXA / DXCU channels): Discord.gg
Everyone has their own vision of how Deus Ex should be, and while we can't promise to fulfill everyone, we hope to cover as many user scenarios as possible!
### Known issues:
* You may need to alt-tab out and back into the game on boot. At least with DX9 on some systems it displays only black at first. Likewise, sometimes the initial launch menu doesn't appear up front.
* On modern systems, it's possible the first line of the intro gets cuts off. If you load into a map (even the intro itself), then play the into the line plays as intended.
* Both of the above also happen with a vanilla install as well. Not DXCU related. Both also have currently unknown causes.

***EDIT BY DEFAULTMOM AKA THE CU ASSEMBLER***: This is an outdated package made by PolaricEntropy aka Bjorn in 2018, I only added it to the Github because...
Updated DXT to latest version (1.5.6) Proper DXT.int handling Added Han's OpenGL Added UEDfix4 (dependencies) Updated Confix to latest version
Accidently included a stray "f" that broke the main desktop play shortcut in the last release. Whoops! Don't really want to do it, but also no longer...
DXCU now finally has Steam support! Only took forever. Pretty basic, being just a proxy exe that launches the actual mod's exe. Unfortunately this means...

Running into an issue with the Community Update. I'm using Kentie's launcher and this error is only thrown when I activate the Community Update under Data Directories. Upon attempting to launch the game, I get this Critical Error instead:
Can't find BoolProperty in file 'BoolProperty Consys.ConEventAnimation.bLoopAnim'
Has anyone else encountered this/know of a fix? The only other mod I'm using is this one, Nexusmods.com, but as far as I can tell it doesn't edit the file in question; which I also can't find in my game files so I'm wondering if I messed something else up.

Hi! So, when in installing the Community Update, I first installed it with FemJC, hoping that it worked like Revision (having the choice to select both types of characters) yet when I installed it it didn't work like that, so I deinstalled it and reinstalled it without that mod. But whenever I tried to run it, it send me the message "Can't find "FemJC" package" or something along those lines. Is there a way to fix this? Or, may I suggest, have it like Revision like I thought it would work like in a next update?
in order to fix the issue you need to acess deusex.ini in your user documents on c drive, then you need to replace it with the original one. double check if there are any mentions of femjc in there, hen it should be ok
I ran into the same issue. I suppose its cause of the ini files as after reinstalling the game from steam or from the iso drive (i have both) launcher shows the same error and ini files seem to be the same mentioning class=femjc
All the text is in black and I can't read it.
Also, the player spins at the beginning, but by moving the player,
the issue stopped. Still, the text is in black...
PS:
Using the Kentie render has solved the issue. Hanflings' renderer seems to be still buggy.
Is there a way to run the CU along with HDTP? And if so, what are the instructions to do so?
