### What this is: Just Deus Ex - ready to play! With all 10 known text translations, along with many extras for editing. Specifically has numerous community made engine level fixes on top of the proper 1112fm (GOTY) patch, without the broken maps shipped on retail versions. Actual gameplay code is identical, warts and all! Also includes a dedicated multiplayer setup, plus the original 2 mission demo updated to the latest version. Features the new Lay D Denton Project as an install option, a female JC Denton player mod! Selected by default is the fantastic mod: #### Deus Ex: Transcended As described by it's creator: Built largely for first timer players, Deus Ex: Transcended is a mod focused solely around faithfulness to the original, while bringing an unmatched arsenal of bug fixes, paired with key notes of Quality of Life changes. Sticklers may still wish to play the game how it was originally made - so the option to easily deselect this is available.

Description

Fixed Render List & Custom Logo During Install I accidently borked the render list display in the last release, so fixed that. (Thanks Kezyma!) Also noticed I was accidently using the default logo during install instead of my custom purple one, so fixed that too!

Hi Defaultplayer000 hope you'd read this. How to fix the subtitles not displaying when in widescreen cinematic? It's not displaying when using lay d denton from CE and lay d denton 1.1 (is lay d denton from this community update, updated to 1.1?). i know that deus exe or using transcended would solve this problem but i'm looking for alternative solutions particularly in vanilla launcher/hanfling's launch. also i notice that the first line in cinematics cuts off abruptly "Your appoinment to fema should be finalized within the week, i've already discussed the matter w-" then cuts to next line, but it's only the problem i encountered so far.

The "nitpicky mini" I released has an experimental widescreen fix using a custom old RF version made by Mechanical Sanity which I'd like to add as an option in the next main CU release and eventually update to the newest RF version. You can always take RF.u & RF.dll from that in the meantime! Just make sure to disable RFConsole in your ini.

How would I install the mod for Deus Ex GOTY running on Linux via Steam Proton?

use protontricks, go to Github.com for instructions.

I think the easiest way is to install it via pipx, just do

"pip3 install pipx"

then

"pipx install protontricks"

You also need winetricks installed, you can get that from the official repositories of whatever distribution you use.

Usually the winetricks version will be outdated in said repositories, so you can do "sudo winetricks --self-update", and that'll bring it to the latest version, only problem is you'll have to do that every time there's an update, but it's better than using the outdated version in the repositories.

then you do "protontricks --gui" and simply navigate the gui, you'll pick a game, in this case deus ex.

You cn ignore any warning messages about using a 64 bit prefix or anything like that

and then there'll be an option to "select the default wineprefix" or something along those lines, pick that, then next there'll be an option to "run explorer", pick that, it'll open a file browser sort of thing, navigate to where the installer for the mod is and run it.

Hi,
I'm trying to install the patch - the installer crashes after selecting options (where progress bars are). I've tried different options, no results.
Trying to copy manually the mods folder - when trying to start the game throws back to the menu. I've tried different renderers, no results.
GOG version.
Help pls.

p.s. first release of the patch works well, thanks
