Deliverance 2600 is a Metroidvania-inspired, exploration-focused total conversion for Doom and Doom 2, powered by the GZDoom engine. The player assumes the role of Stanford T. Pace, a former prison inmate who volunteers for Project Deliverance, which is intended to rehabilitate criminals by means of extreme discipline. He is then sent out on a mission to investigate a mysterious communications breakdown with a research facility on the planet Ferrus XII. But what he seeks is something else than redemption...

Description

This build fixes a few bugs, among them one that essentially made rank A impossible to obtain, as well as fixing the overheat/cooldown mechanic and the Thunderball cannon.

What a load of trash this is! Featureless, boring, empty, square, square, square! The guy who made this, at the point of its final version, had 10 years of mapping experience and yet he still can't make a half decent map layout (even for 1995 standards) to save his life. MFG38, you should be ashamed to have this abomination uploaded on the internet!

Sure, the mod is flawed in hindsight, but I'm not ashamed at all to have released it. It's a showcase of what I was capable of at the time if nothing else. If anything, I'm ashamed on your behalf for failing to provide the slightest hint of constructive or usable critique.

Oh, you actually replied, how nice of you. I will have to apologize for seeing it just now, but i don't really care about this terrible project to check the comments regularly. And to answer your point about lack of constructive criticism on my part... Are you blind? I told you exactly what is wrong with your level design. I know you're too butthurt to see it, but that's not my problem. Let me try again though. Your mapping style is boring, empty and featureless. The architecture consists of square shaped, oversized flat rooms, with little to nothing going on in them. The enemies are also pathetic and useless. The art direction looks like something a 6-year old would make. Just look at the screenshot you provided here, it tells the whole story. A big flat empty room with nothing but one enemy in it. Is that best screenshot you could make to promote your mod?

Ironic of you to have the balls to call your own criticism in your previous comment constructive when it's nothing but bashing and insults. And telling me that I should be ashamed to "have this abomination uploaded on the internet". If THAT is your idea of constructive criticism, I genuinely implore you to look up the definition of the word.
