Just like Kane's Vision, this mod aims to perfect the gameplay experience of Kane's Wrath. With countless new faction unique upgrades and units, this is a comprehensive overhaul of this already great game. Every change that was introduced in this mod was with quality gameplay in mind and do justice to the lore of the factions. Furthermoe, One Vision is keen on maintaining the game's high visual level and improve upon it wherever possible.
In the next version Renegade infantry will feel very different. Right now, their infantry is only good because it can be spammed and ultimately isn't that much fun to play.
To change this, the Confessor upgrade has completely changed. Confessors can respawn fallen squad members between fights and they are much more powerful themselves. Mind you, Confessors can be upgraded further with Charged Particle Beams.
In return, the Confessor upgrade is made more expensive. On the other hand, Tiberium Infusion has turned into a cheaper infantry upgrade that only provides a small stat bonus on top of Tiberium immunity. So you can choose between a cheap and more expensive upgrade if you need better infantry.
For gameplay reasons, the Confessor grenades have also changed. It now lowers the speed, armor, rate of fire and makes enemy infantry easier to suppress.
Overall, this reinforces the Nod hit and run playstyle where it pays off to make a strike and retreat, allowing your forces to come back to original strength.
You can see the flash of respawning militants in the background. In the picture you can also see the new skin for Black Hand squads.
I'm always experimenting with unique textures for each faction so the duplicate units in the game don't all look the same. In general, I'd like to give Renegade infantry a more distinct look overall.

Maybe have them "earn" the Nod armor and helmets by making that an upgrade over the old hoodie skin. Could that be linked to veterancy somehow?
Side note; It always bothered me how the rocket militants basically kept their TW rags look when the standard militants got the apparent upgrade in status to a Tib Sun themed kit without any acknowledgement.
That's a very interesting idea. I think you are right, but I prefer the aesthetics of the KW Militants. But removing the masks and keeping the hoody could just work.
I'm not sure what I should do with the Rocket Militant, though. I like it too much for Nod that I could exchange it for something more fitting.
I would say the rocket militant stays normal for renegades and gets armor for the rest

also could you bring back the upgrades for the myrmidon from the previous version I really liked them
"Confessors can respawn fallen squad members" - Nod propaganda works well, i see. GDI can't hope to perform field recruitment like that! i wonder if they also take tib inoculation on the spot when that upgrade is researched :D
