BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.

I like the Idea of these Buildings.
The Design is very well done too.
But what is the advantage to build these Buildings next too of regular Energy Generator's?
Maybe cheaper, but with less Energy production?
Or a boost to generate more Energy from time to time?
Or are these wind turbines similar to my Mass Reactors (from my Mod), but generate a little bit more energy as the Tech 1 Energy Generators.? I think this could be really useful for Beginners during the start of a match. ;)
Do they have any Tech 2 or 3 Variations of these Buildings too?
Like Upgradeable Wind turbines for each Tech except Experimental?

They cost a third of the mass and 2 thirds the energy of a regular pgen, they have variable output that fluctuates between 5 and 30, averaging out at 17.5, and they don't explode when they die. They are only tech 1, but higher Tech's is a consideration. Oh also, these are in my search mod, which research locks the default, so you're forced to use them for at least a short time.

Sounds really interesting. :)
I'm really excited to check them out soon. ;)

If only like TA, each map had a fluctuating wind speed.

It'd require defining a wind value per map, but it would be possible.

Love them. But, I hoped, apart from Tot.Anih., Zero-K/Tot.Anih. Spring Engine remake; that I would see remakes of KKND2 Windmill,Solar Collector, Thermal Exchanger and Wind Turbine.
Yup, VAWT designs.
Otherwise they replaces T1 pgen via Research & Daiquiris sub-mod,along with Caffe Correto and Bubble Tea.
I wonder if they could act as original supcom T1 fabs at the same time or instead.

Can it really be an infinite war without renewable energy?

Since there has been kind of an discussion about the uef wind turbine - and the fact it is the weakest design. I love the other three, and i am impressed about all the details of every of your models. But about the wind turbine, i thought why it - for me - is the weakest design. And i thought about your statement that uef designs mostly resemble things currently existing. And what i saw is, that the pole of your design, other than the poles of (most) current wind turbines (if not all), does not expand much while going towards the ground. That is one thing. I dont find the detail disturbing that you put around the wings at the pole - i like it.
What however does disturb, is the size of the whole turbine combined with that massive standfoot and the always equal wide pole.

I thought that it could resemble current designs a little more (and therefore looks more familiar and becomes more liked), if the turbine is the same size like the cybrans one, the pole while going to the ground expanding to the width, and the standfoot (which it certainly needs to keep having) be only 1/3rd or 1/2 of the size it is rn (in hight). The width would need to be reduced, but maybe only to 3/4th of what it currently is. (I think if the standfoot gets a lot thinner to its top then it currently does, it might work better as well)

Why do i think this would fit? Because i looked at that design carefully and saw that the point where standfoot and pole meet, a massive block meets a really thin pole. These extremes shouldnt be together this extreme. It just clashes up against each other. And enhancing the general size would cause the whole turbine to look a bit more massive whilst being only a pole technically :D

I wrote this comment because i wanted to add something here. But just adding that i do agree that its somehow week, didnt seem good at all. Instead, i thought, i would go and think of ideas that might improve it a little, to let a bit of my creativity and thoughts flood into your thoughts. Just as general ideas and maybe inspiration? :D

I had fun writing this, no matter if you think about this or not. Bcuz i really like this mod and wanna try to do what i can to improve and help :D
