A modified game executable using BUzzer's x64 fork that adds a bunch of new functions and options for modders to play around with.

Made by NutBoi & Nate with the help of the Frictional games discord community.

Current version: 1.2

IMPORTANT!!
This is an executable built before the official update 1.5, so steam workshop integration does not work. OnUpdate should be identical however.

Hey, Sorry for the long wait.

I wanted to release this ages ago but life gets in the way of things, I wouldn't be releasing today as it doesn't have all the features I'd like it to have, but it has some pretty important fixes, and I saw a mod that supposedly uses my work so I've seen it fit to release this now.

That's all, happy holidays and happy new year!

It's nice to see an update! The oil problem is really gone.
At the same time, I still have some problems from the original, especially "does not have a pow2 size". Maybe it's a problem with my PC, but the game still crashes with similar errors. Sad.

I like this project, but I have a problem: on my "Amnesia TDD" (GOG, 1.41b), the oil consumption of the lantern does not work. For me, this game version as a whole somehow does not work well, although all drivers are updated, but this function is in order.

are you sure you had the configs right for the oil drain?
could just be a typo, but in any case went back and redid the whole lantern config system so should be ok in the next update

Yes, I know, a lot of time has passed, but still I think to explain the situation in more detail, especially with the recent "discovery". I do not have a licensed version of the game (yes, I downloaded Amnesia for free - shame), so I decided to reupload the GOG installer - a simple installer, without any binding. However, at the very first launches, I got crashes: creating a profile, some moments in the game (this was a long time ago). It's clear that I wanted to play some mods, one of them was "Eldritch Cove", only from the start of the game I got a crash ... at the same time I stumbled upon your project. Of course, I substituted another exe file in baht and it all worked! Well, almost - the problem with the oil remained.
I recently got a re-upload of the game on Steam, still the same version (1.41b) and had the same crash issues. In addition, the game gave out a choice of difficulty level at the beginning of the game, although it is disabled there in the mod settings. "Remodded" worked here as well, although the oil problem remained.
I don’t really understand why this version of the game is so buggy - before that I used 1.3.1 and did not know about such problems. Maybe the problem is the lack of Steam, although "SmartSteamEmu" normally compensates for this problem, and the log does not report the real reason for the crash.
EDITED: Even with "Remodded" the game occasionally crashes - rarely, but still.

New suggestions:
1. Windowed Mode (Previous comment by boredgunner)
2. The debris such as broken doors, glass, decals, etc. will not disappear inspired from Rivarez mod who made a mod from F.E.A.R. and Doom 3/BFG
3. LOD from a distance increase inspired from Rivarez

Hi! Thanks for the suggestions, but;
1. Windowed mode is already in the game and it works fine from my testing.
2. There is no real benefit to this and you can already do this with custom entities i'm pretty sure.
3. I am not making LODs for the simple reason that they require at least 1 new model for each existing model, which i am not making.

Sorry to disappoint.

Question:
Would you please include vanilla hands and lantern in case of some people who accidentally delete them (vanilla) and can't recover. That way, they have peace of mind for not reinstalling amnesia TDD again?

Suggestion list:
1. FOV
2. Bigger console text especially on 1980 and above.
3. Amnesia recovery installer - able to recover files specifically if accidentally delete
4. Better custom story selection menu.
5. Skip scenes and cut scenes settings on and off
6. Background menu option menu with preview.

to answer the base questions: giving the modified .ho and ent files i think are already a stretch of what can do, so i don't feel comfortable putting more than i already have, to answer the rest of your suggestions:

1. you can already modify FOV but not from the options menu, i'll look into how feasable and doable an option for the fov could be.
2. elaborate?
3. i don't do magic, if you deleted something it's probably in your recycling bin or lost permanently, i can't do a recovery since those files in most cases are no longer accessible, and since i can't share tdd's base assets, i can't do a recovery installer.
4. elaborate, but it would most likely break every custom story menu.
5. cutscenes are directly scripted into the map, i can't just make them skippable without recoding the map, and even if i did, again, i can't share assets, it's up to mod makers to make them skippable.
6. the background menu is a single map, wich would mean you'd either have to go through a loading screen or put every menu in the same map, either way, it's not up to me since it wouldn't be part of the executable.

Hopefully that cleared some stuff up and answered most of the questions.
