I have been doing the modification for over 2.5 years, and now it is closed, completely. The mod is no longer being developed or supported. You can download and install the raw version.
If anyone doesn't know what it is, then... I don't even know how to describe it all - I'm already damn tired of it, so you can watch the video with the mod demonstration. Core concept: "immersive gameplay"... yes. The project began to annoy me so much that even the description is not interesting to write - watch those videos better, or play it yourself.
The main features of the mod: "Personal Body System" - a real model of the body of the characters, consisting of skin, muscles, organs and bones. Injuries, radiation, pain, heartbeat, temperature, pressure... this is implemented, although not completely. Weapons consist of parts that need to be cleaned and changed - there are 1048 of them in the current assembly (some of them are modified). Details are "generated" by memoization, but - like PBS - much is left unfinished. Magazines and NPC weapon breakage are fully implemented.

There are quite a few reasons for closing, but the final decision was the full understanding that I was wasting my time. I would talk about my illness, about the reasons for such "maximalist" ideas, and so on, but I will tell you the most important thing: the development of "Sediment" was calculated as "a way to develop developer skills and create a portfolio." If this idea seems smart at first to you, then... this is a complete mistake. Even with quite a lot of experience as a "modder", I can't say for sure what the REAL benefits of this process are: although "Sediment" gave me difficult tasks that required good programming skills, the development process itself was just "stagnating" - sort of and I know a lot, but there is no practical application of my skills. I will keep silent about the fact that this is a "mod on mod".

What am I going to do next? Making games... yes. I also thought that this was a bad idea, but in fact it is a good plan. I don't want to lose my "talent": when developing "Sediment" I was ashamed to call myself a "programmer", and the reason is the difference in the level of requirements for coding... yes, it's hard to explain it so simply, but as an example: in "Sediment" I didn’t have to really work with geometry - in game development, it’s obviously impossible to work without it.

If you want to use my scripts - OK, you can even pretend that this is entirely your work, meh. Seriously, I will only be glad to develop my work - so I will know that my work will not be useless. You understand that I did not mess around during these 2.5 years, a lot of work was done there.
