Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
With the newborn Federation recovering from the Earth-Romulan War, Ferengi Marauders take advantage of the temporary weakness by looting isolated research facilities. Scientific equipment is expensive and, with the right buyer, will earn the ships' DaiMons a fine profit.
Official contact with the Ferengi during the early-Federation period was extremely limited. Though their existence was known to the Vulcans, Andorians and Tellarites prior to Earth's emergence on the interstellar stage, for the most part the Ferengi were a mystery - a fact not helped by the Ferengi themselves, to whom the concept of a free cultural exchange seemed extremely undesirable.
It would later be revealed that it was the 'free' part of such a concept that the Ferengi struggled with.
For the entirety of the 22nd Century and most of the 23rd, virtually nothing was known of Ferengi culture or society. The only thing that was known was that mercantilism was a prized trait of the Ferengi who, in the tradition of pure capitalism, seemed willing to explore any and all avenues, be they illegal, unethical or otherwise, in pursuit of profit. This earned the Ferengi the dubious comparison to 'Yankee traders' by humans - a reference to the shrewd grey-market merchants of the American continent of 19th Century Earth. Such a comparison, while unkind, is not inaccurate - there is no such thing as 'illegitimate business' to a Ferengi. From legitimate trade, to smuggling illegal goods, to petty thievery - right and wrong are determined by the balance of profit and loss.

"Misdirection is the key to survival, never attack what your enemy defends, never behave as your enemy expects, and never reveal your true strength, if knowledge is power then to be unknown is to be unconquerable.”
One of my favorite sayings
If I'm not mistaken, this is a Romulan creed, isn't it?
The quote from "Learning to Fly" by Chris Collison. I believe a Romulan used it forgot where. When it was the star empire before the death of Romulus. Don't quote me on it.
Hats off to Orion! Your Descriptions are always fantastic but you knocked the ball out of the park on this one!
Thank you muchly.
waiting for his next meme worthy faux pas - we are patient
I might insert one on purpose and see if people notice. Keep your eyes peeled.
No AFT, no ExiledHunter. This is why the cunter-punch meme format will always be superior.
Actually the underside of DAT AFT is visible, and even when I'm not visible I am always here. I am DAT AFT-Guardian after all.
