Sounds interesting. Hard mode felt a bit like a letdown so this looks pretty promising. Just a question, if its critical mode, why does sanity and health heal faster? Should be the opposite if its a critical mode. Just saying.

From the pictures, it doesn't look too bad. One thing i will address is the plot is overused and cliched to crisp. I'm not trying to be a hypocrite, i'm just addressing that small issue. If you don't change it, that's completely fine by my standards.

Less gameplay. Couple of reasons, but mainly because i want the whole cs to look fresh and dont want you to just rush things cauee people are telling you to (i have seen some timee that has happened)
I know im a bit late, but it seems you don't have justine installed. It's impossible to progress in this cs without justine.
Haha, you're not alone. I HATE scripting. It's usually like:
"Ok...so lets make it so that when the player goes here, a brute will spawn." (5 minutes later) "WAIT WHY ISN'T THE MONSTER SPAWNING!? ARGHHH!!!"
The old man is like: "I WOULD LOVE TO SEND A HOMONONONONONCOLONUS TO THEE" XD
Again, similiarly like Happymatt said, i can see from the pictures that detail isn't really there.
-add detail that is fitting to the place (freezers should have engine like things and valves to turn it on or off, giant rooms should have ornaments like huge pictures, etc.)
-don't overuse detail. The statues are literally everywhere. Might as well surround the player with them as a jumpscare, lol.
-story is somewhat cliche. YOuR lOveD OnEs DieD AnD yOU waKe Up iN a TerRibLle PlAcE sO wHAt ThE hELl lEts ExpLOrE!!11!1!1
-hella weird and bright lighting (make it somewhat different shade of red and darker)
Even with all those things, i wish you luck on this CS!
Edit: oh god, please do not overuse jumpscares, AND PLEASE DON'T USE FLYING NAKED GUYS JUMPSCARE, THOSE ARE LOATHED BY THE COMMUNITY.

Good job! I enjoyed this demo very much and i can't wait for the full release. However, the puzzles were really annoying, since there were usually very vague hints (the stone pressure plate puzzle one took me way too long to complete). I also liked the redesigned cellar (the old one was sorta boring and bland).
