The Four Horsemen

I really enjoyed this custom story. Well placed encounters and a generaly scary athmosphere.
I did end up breaking the game though, as I died on a Brute in Wars chambers, and spawned behind a closed off wall. (You actually have to avoid getting killed there, ort you'll need to replay from the previous savepoint.)
Apart from that I didn't notice a puzzle I needed to solve to get deaths door open, so I glitched out of the map to get around the gate, but that was my fault totaly. Also I needed to finish teh puzzle in the end anyway.

All in all, I'd reccomend playing this. :)

Amnesia: A Coward's Debt

Great story, really scary athmosphere, good use of sound and voiceovers to add to the scaryness. (Generaly great voice acting too. I have not seen such good work on Amnesia stories much.)

All in all, the only thing that made me deduct a point was that it was rather short. Short, but intense.

The one point I am deducting here is due to 2 puzzles being pure guessing of which order to pull levers / push buttons, which both are needed to proceed. Those puzzles were just really annoying and didn't add anything good to the experience in my opinion.

Apart from that the Custom story features really innovative stuff that I have't seen in other stories before, complete with a very well-told story. Definitely one of the best Amnesia stories I ave ever played.

Great level design, interesting story, and generaly well done. No pointless Jumpscares, good athmosphere, and 3 different endings to find.

Although the huge main area can be confusing sometimes, and at the end there was a part where you needed to climb a cave in, which didn't work to well for me, I really liked this Story, and can only reccomend everyone to play it.

Felix's Nightmare

Unfortunately this mod bugged out for me.
So, after you get the explosive, and detonate it, you jump town that hole. Supposedly the Lantern breaks when you hit the ground, which means you shouldn't be able to turn it on. Now for me, the Lantern stayed in the state I had it when jumping. On. So I have a Lantern that I cannot turn off anymore. On top of that the sound glitched so it would always play the sound it usually plays when you try to turn on an empty lantern. With that annoying sound I really don't want to keep going.

Also, up to that point I got scared maybe once. You played too much with the "unsettling event"-thingy. Everything you pick up makes the ingame char go crazy bonkers, and destorts your vision for a moment without anything actually happening. That's not scary, just annoying. The monsters also dissapear way too quickly. I only had to confront a single one. And that was because I got bored and wanted to play with it for some time.

I of course do not know whether it would have gotten better further into the story, but as it is it's just boring.

Good design, even though the areas are so packed with stuff sometimes that the game engine can't handle it anymore and starts to lag. (No, that is not my PCs fault, Amnesias HPL2 Engine isn't that powerful.)

Some scares are really good, all are at least decent. Some are very innovative too. (Meaning I didn't see them yet.)

BUGS:
I encountered one bug, that stops me from finishing the machine room puzzle. If you enter a fuel rod, and exit the room to get another (like: you get the two from downstairs, and put them in, and then you get the other one from the attic) the ones that were already placed won't work anymore. You can take them out again too, which you shouldn't be able to. ANd when you take them out, you can't put them in again. So you are stuck, and not able to put the rods in. leaving the room and coming back won't do anything, and the puzzle can't be solved.

I guess, since the machinery powers the main entrance this would have been the end there anyway?

OK, a couple of things. The floor textures glitch in the last room. It looks like they're twitching. The wall on the second to last door is seethrough from in between the doors. The teleporting naked guys and flying jesus didn't scare me at all, only the poofer that came out of the closet at the end was well placed and quite good. The other grunt was easy to dodge, and wasn't all that scary.
And I played through this in like 10 minutes. So really way too short.

So if you do another project, or improve this one I'd say:
1. ADD AMBIENCE MUSIC! Costum stories without ambience are always kinda dull and feel less scary.
2. WAY longer playtime. And maybe some more puzzles than just finding hidden keys.
3. try to figure out the texture glitches.
4. Better scares.
