Swelter released on June 26, 2023, in the 10th anniversary of Source SDK 2013, is not here.
I had an impression before that many people had followed this mod in development, judging by the number of reviews in Steam :)

What do you mean tank the accuracy? Improve or deteriotate it?
I will look into that if the shotgun pellet spread changes depending on the active attachment.

For MG-88 the laser sight is IMO the best option, letting the player do without ironsights and preserving fire rate unlike the flashlight.

Are you trying to run this WAD in Crispy Doom with ZDL? ZDL is for ZDoom family ports only that Crispy doesn't belong to.

The smallest of awesome mods in terms of file size ;)
One comment on walkthrough as this is not very explicit:
The bullet does 128 damage, and to trigger level change it must gib the Doomguy, i.e. bring his health to -100 or below.
So before firing the bullet one should have as little health and armor as possible, otherwise you won't proceed to the next Room. This is not a bug, as you may think.

The CVAR for weapon proximity awareness is also broken, when you set it to Off in options it becomes On again on game restart.
Tried adding it to autoexec.cfg, doesn't work.

My patch for the mod Moddb.com
now also disables hiding of the regular shotgun in this case, as it's a close range weapon as well.

I suggested non-zero-weight SMG magazines taking inventory slots each, just like pistol clips. Collecting 600+ SMG round without penalty feels kinda cheating.

Yes, you're right, thanks!
In the player obituary they're called Lickers, in the map editor they are Charred, and they often look different in the lighting of the actual game, so I couldn't figure out that they indeed are these Rotten ones.
I even filmed a video about melee fighting a large gang of those Youtube.com

In my experience the plasma railgun fires a little above the sights, so I have to aim a little lower to do headshots. Well, that's even kinda convenient :)

For me the game often crashes if I save with SMG in hands, load game and attempt to fire, so I have to switch to another weapon before or after save (use an After Save lotion, lol).
That bug is somewhere too deep in the code to fix.

Yes, in each pair of the patches (vanilla timing and STROOMed) the timing is the same but the pistol fire animations are slightly different, using different sprite sequences.

wadaholic, so I finished NG+, and I hope that when you make Total Chaos: Ultimate Edition for Steam/other game stores' commercial release (many fans of your work will buy it, I'm sure), you will replace the NG+ final hunter duel maze with a mine maze with some instances of another new item: Large Remote Explosive and several locations where you can place and detonate them to collapse the mine tunnel, which will kill the Hunter with the avalanche when he's in those locations. Pretty logical as no conventional weapons can do that throughout the whole game. Also, if the Hunter gets killed with the avalanche, the tunnel wall in the tunnel collapse location where the Hunter was killed should break to reveal another parallel tunnel, open and lit from the outside (light at the end of the tunnel, the game ends with a good ending when you walk towards that).

GREAT WORK, PROBABLY THE GREATEST ON GZDOOM ENGINE EVER!

I completed Director's Cut to both endings and have run through 3 chapters of New Game +, but I still haven't seen any of these. Cannot find them in the game files either.

KNOWN BUGS:

2) Game crashes from time to time when quick-loading. Nothing really game-breaking, but it's worth to know it.

For me the game often crashes to console if I save with Machinegun in hands, load game and attempt to fire. Switching to another weapon is an efficient workaround.

In my tweak packs I've just included the fix for impossibility to reload Super Shotgun when there is 1 shell loaded in it and 1 shell available.

That was the case when the add-on was loaded with the Doom Coummunity Expansion by Bloodwolf333 (https://github.com/BLOODWOLF333/Brutal-Doom-Community-Expansion), all the other dual wields were broken.
I included two versions for loading with unchanged BDv21 or the community expansion.
