Thx for the reply nemus. Tried it without 3d acceleration and the game just shuts down back to desktop once Nar Shaddaa has load.

After struggling to get the game launch with the Jedi Knight Remastered shortcut, I've managed to launch it using the respective fov executable in the game directory. However, after setting my screen resolution to match the configuration file and selecting hardware acceleration in the in-game menu, I'm presented with a black screen with a crosshair when starting a new game.

The cutscene for Nar Shaddaa runs ok, but when the level starts everything on screen is black except for the crosshair. Audio is working as I can hear the effects for the weapon and jumping etc. I just cant see anything.

I have the GOG version of SWGB, and every time I tried to launch a map in standard skirmish it crashes back to desktop. Any ideas? I dying for a fix of SW gaming nostalgia...

Yeah man! what the hell gives them the right to spend years of their free time, making something that's been enjoyed by countless others.....for free. How dare they listen to the feedback from fans of previous releases and implement their suggestions and wishlists. They've only created a mod that hundreds if not thousands enjoy. They should be ashamed that it's not to your personal taste! It makes me so angry that they've upset you, how dare they? Grrrrr.....

Is anyone actually working on any large scale mods since the source code was released? I've tried to find some info on the usual JK modding sites (those that are still live) including ModDB, but can't find anything.

Thanks for this. Only recently reinstalled BFME and the dwarves have always been my favorite faction, whether in Middle Earth or Warhammer. In fact a TC of BFME to Warhammer would be cool, with Slayers etc...just a thought. Anyway thanks again!!

Hi RG, thanks for the PMs linking to the installation fix. That seemed to work ok. Got in game alright and started playing, still not a big fan of the camera location and the camera controls but other than that I really liked the look of it. That was until I experienced the CTD after a few minutes of playing. I guess I'll wait until you've finished the 'small little program' you mention above to see if that fixes it.

So many problems with this release it's just not worth the hassle for me. I appreciate the time spent making this mod, but effort needed to get the thing running without A) crashing on splash screen B) being defeated as soon as the enemy enter your base, just isn't worth the time. Compared to other mods which can be installed and played without the need to reinstall the base game and with no hassle, the RC mod is not user friendly at all. The new camera system is also extremely cumbersome too, better to just have a fixed view of between 400 - 500. Unistalling and rating down due to the hassle it takes to get the thing running.

Yeah, eventually. I wasn't really paying attention the first time I looked at the readme. Long day at work and all that....

Just wondering if this will work for ROTWK or is it just BFME specific? If not, do have any plans to release a ROTWK version?

Hi there, Just reinstalled ROTWK after seeing this mod as it looks like a lot of work has gone into it. I'm a bit confused as to how to install the mod though. The instructions in the readme file a bit vague - For Win7 Users - Place "BOTTA" folder in your C drive - Open the folder and copy "BotTA" shortcut on your desctop - Right click on icon that you copied on your desctop and go to "Properties". And that's it for Win 7...

Would you be able to post detailed instructions or PM me with them.

Many thanks.

Actually, I think I've got it working, the option buttons have now appeared at the bottom of the screen. 1.03 and 1.04 were still saying 'file contains no valid data' after re-downloading them, so I installed 1.00, then 1.02 updater, then 1.06 updater and it looks like that's worked. Thanks again for your help. And for the mod. Can't wait to play it now!

Thanks for your help with this RidderGeel. I downloaded all releases on ModDB and tried to install them one after the other. when I tried to intstall 1.03, 1.04 and 1.05 I got an error message saying "This file contains no valid data". So I went straight from 1.00 to 1.06. The movie of the Rohan courtyard plays then the camera pans out from the fountain and just stays there. I'm assuming that's where the buttons for solo play and options etc should appear but the don't. I'll try downloading everything again.

Hi, I had put the game2.dat from ROTWK into the RC Mod folder. I've now swapped that with the BFME 2 game2.dat and it does run now, yay!! However, it won't move on from the opening movie of the snowy Rohan town (which is pretty cool btw).

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and the blue RC Mod 1.06 splash screen comes up, then just goes off screen and the program doesn't open?

Hmm....This is a strange one. I followed the installation to the letter but, when I come to run it, I get a message telling me to insert the correct disc. The disc is of course in the drive and the game runs ok in vanilla and with all other mods.

A shame, as I was really looking forward to playing this mod, it looks far better than any others out there. Whether I can get it running or not, I just want to say well done to the team for producing a great looking mod and keep up the good work!
