Okay, thank you for replying! Sry for a long comment here, please feel free to tell me if I should copy-paste this into the TW-forums or Discord or something instead!
I can see on this file it says "Extract and put the SSHIP_098"-folder in "Mods. Not trying to be cheeky, but every other install-instruction for this mod says to just unpack the whole downloaded zip-file directly into "Mods", so that is a bit counter-intuitive :)
So now I simply moved "SSHIP_098" out of "SSHIP_098_August_2023" and into "Mods", then deleted the empty "SSHIP_098_August_2023"-folder.
This is when I still get the "Wrong folder-error" when I launch as admin, and when I simply double-click the launcher the game starts but crashes in campaign very quickly on turn 1.
Should I instead have deleted the whole mod from my "Mods"-folder, then extracted the Zip again, externally this time, and moved that new "SSHIP_098" into "Mods"?
I don't know if this should make any difference, but moving large folders in-and-out of other folders like I have done might corrupt the files? Or the launcher doesn't fully realize that the files are now in the correct place or something?
Yea thought so, I fixed that. Still getting the error, or rather:
If I launch the game as admin, I get the error.
If I just double click the launcher, the game starts. I can start and load campaign, but whenever I do something like ending turn or quick-saving, the game crashes...

Getting the "SSHIP installed in wrong folder"-error. Could it be because the folder-path that ends up in my mod-folder, after I followed instructions to the letter, looks like this:
"mods" > "SHIP_098_August_2023" > "SSHIP_098"
intead of this:
"mods" > "SSHIP_098"
?

Hi there. You dropped the patches into Empire total war/data-folder, eh? Because the install-instructions for patch 3.4 says specifically not to do that. It says to drop them in the "common"folder

Hey, how is this mod in terms of end turn-times in late game? Vanilla Empire total war is notorious for taking ages to end a turn in late game because all the AI-factions are unit-spamming. There are several mods who "fix" this by limiting how many units each faction can have at one time. Anything like this in this mod?
Hey. It says in the installation that this is for 6.3 of Stainless Steel. Is this a typo or is it not updated for 6.4?
"Download BS 2.1.5 from torrent file (in archive)" it says in the ReadMe in the archive, but when I press that file my PC doesn't know which prorame to use. Nothing happens if I choose a web browser.. What kind of program am I supposed to open it in?
Also "install in mods folder", does it come with an installer? I assume I'm not supposed to just drop the files directly into the mods-folder am I?

Will installing this impact other total conversion mods I have installed?

Anyway, I remember downloading this some years ago, and it had a problem where at some point in the campaign, it would take longer and longer to end a turn, until eventually ending the turn took like several minutes. Just wondered if that was fixed?
(And I was playing as the Ottoman Empire back then, so I had control of that landbridge between Istanbul and Anatolia where the AI pathfinding often bugs out, so that should not have been the problem)
Hello. Sorry to ask a question which has no doubt been repeated in troubleshoots before. But I installed the mod according to instructions, and it just doesn't activate. I start the game and it looks exactly like before, none of the graphical changes has been installed.
I'm on Windows 10, and have fixed that issue with High and Ultra-graphics settings are locked.
Anybody know what I might have done wrong, or if this has been a problem before?

Ok so I downloaded the mod yesterday and tried to play skirmish on easy in order to check out the new units and get a look at the graphical imporovements and new designs and stuff.
You have a very strange concept of the word "easy" I must say. Getting swarmed by star destroyers, or heavy rebel ships, within minutes doesn't really leave a lot of time for anything, does it. Can I assume that the campaign will be equally challenging?
Also the Gondorian militia units are silver surfers (My guess there is a great d eal of units that may or may not be silver surfers/lack textures completely) Gandalf the Grey's strat map-model is that of Faramir, and Minas Morgul's strat map model is now a normal citadel instead of the unique strat map model. I have not tested if this aply for it's battle map-model as well.
OK thanks for the fix, but this time around the units you retextured (Dúnedain wardens/ dúnedain cavalry) are invisible on the battlemap. You can see the officers but the soldiers in the unit are not visible. I assume this is because the new textures were not implemented correctly? Also the Bree-land bodyguards are silver surfers.
