Huge fan of your work, and can't wait to see the introduction of those PBR shaders pioneered by the Sins Remastered team.. (unless i'm confusing this expectation with another mod, in which case, my bad)

Can't wait for the next release.. Firstly because Armada 3 is one of my most played mods.. (every time I watch or even think of anything remotely Star Trek-related I fire up sins with this mod)

But also because once you square this off, you'll set AOTF straight (in your own image, which I trust will be beautiful, you've never really disappointed me with any of your releases if I'm honest)

This is just me expressing my respect and appreciation for the team's devotion.. despite whatever happens in the world or your personal lives.

With that being said... I've noted every mention of when the next release is due.. and I'm literally trigger happy on ModDB, checking the page and hoping for a release date. ARE WE THERE YET!? :D

seen people commenting on crashes, and for the record, i've been getting them too, large scale maps cause it quicker but it seems to be whenever zooming in and out of star systems... is this the same frame freeze seen in the pre-openBeta stream... something about meshes??

Loving the mod. Dislike the klingons but thats mostly personal preference (in this era) i can't really comment on balance simply because the UI is so vastly different to any mod ive played and ive played most of them (vastly different in a good way).

I do think smaller, more frequent updates is the way to go. Long updates can just lose peoples interest. And with rapid updates you can get feedback about balancing new additions and so on and so forth. Edit: when adding a fsction, however i believe a more substantial singular ypdate would be wiser... minor factions and and map updates (to name a few) would be better in small releases

Sorry for the big comment, hope its somewhat insightful at the very least :-)

I've never had it myself, but the AI do it from time to time, (i know this is an old comment) but I will add i've seen the Klingons do it on a rare occasion, I'm fairly sure it was a double Martok. but it's more commonly Dukat, I've always assumed it's something to do with the duo-faction feature for Cardassians but i'm clueless as to why it happens with Martok for the Klingons.

have you or can you add empire weapons appropriately to fleet built empire ships? making a fleet of epic empire ships loses its amazement when they use vanilla weapons :(

As someone who understands programming and a little (I mean very little) about computer art/design, I have the greatest respect for you and people like you, I don't have the self-motivation to do this kind of thing off my own back.

Really Random but modding can get you far in the real world, Some guy made a really good mod for Skyrim and Ubisoft gave him a job! You never know who's watching your mod so remember that :)

Arma 3 is a military combat simulator with a huge modding community - unfortunately it is mostly aimed around combat and survival modding, not a lot of Sci-Fi.

Tried out that new corvette, you weren't kidding about it being a scout ship - that's a lightly armed ship for sure.

Quick request, could you perhaps look at the weapons and try lowering their Damage per shot and upping their fire rate? We're all to familiar with seeing volleys of turbolaser and ion cannon shots lighting up outer space, would be nice to see.

maybe also bring the fulgor down to a frigate class rather than a destroyer and lower its weapon count just a little bit?

Should look at Starpoint Gemini Warlords, and look into moving to that after this, really nice game, and nice to fly the ships on a nice looking game rather than build armies of them and just watch the carnage.

I didn't use the addon, just the standard. I re-applied LAA and haven't had any issues, but I'd been on a game for 3 hours, something i don't often do. I'll post another comment if it happens again.

Just experienced a crash, message pops up telling me there's a 90% chance i did not apply LAA, however, I'd been on this match for well over 3 hours, the game crashes within 15 minutes if LAA is not applied. Note this was the Clone wars map where you start with loads of planets and fleets spread across the galaxy (hence the 3 hour duration).

I'm now wondering if Q2 is the same question you are asking each other ;) i'm very interested to see the result, your work speaks for itself (your team of course), STA3 was and is amazing.

Thanks for answering my last question as well, makes it clearer why you are aiming for a couple of playable factions first.

I've been a fan of STA for Sins for a long time, and a Trek fan even longer, huge fan all round - I have a few questions.

I've read all the comments, and some of my questions have been partly answered, but I'd appreciate a bit of clarification if possible.

Q1: Is the progression system going to be tech based only, or is there going to be a generational progression? to be crystal clear, generational progression for me means ENT, TOS, TNG (I count DS9 and VOY as TNG era, tech is all in the same area, give or take.)

Q2: If generational progression is planned, how will this be achieved/implemented? Will it be acheived through significant breakthroughs in research, i.e. researching shield technology - though perhaps this would not be usable on ENT era ships, and would be available when other tech requirements are met for generational progression (phasers, warp capability, etc.) OR would it be a time based thing, the years in which each era is set - would this grant tech associated with the era jump?

Q3: Is there a reason you want to hold off on releasing anything before it's got a content rich feel to it? hate to compare mod against mod, but New Horizons is playable, its full of things that don't make sense, like the majority of factions using orion ships, BUT that doesn't matter, because it's something tangible and the community that loves and supports these mods can ping back problems to you, saving you time. (this isn't a rant about wanting to play it now, I'm simply curious)

I apologise for the hefty message, I don't comment on things very often - and ANY clarification that you can provide will be GREATLY appreciated (i have a basic coding understanding also, so I 'might' understand reasons why something might not be do-able) :)
