So sorry for your loss! And as someone that has followed the mod for years, please prioritize taking care of yourself. Take as much time as you need and don't feel bad about taking time off if you need it.

Yes! This mod needed some love. First thanks so much for helping to achieve the full potential of this mod and second I have a few questions. Is the rations script that harms your army in enemy territory going to stay or not? Are the Balrogs going to move faster, as they were really restricted in the base mod? And finally, will the army spawning scripts stay for Angband? Again thanks so much for reviving this amazing mod!

I believe what he means is scripts that spawn extra elven armies assumingly to represent the Host of the Valar that eventually come.

I was wondering if the mod will have any custom settlements? Or will it use unique settlements from other third age mods like for example using the Cair Andros map for Beleriand's Minas Tirith? As always keep up the good work and great job so far, I can't wait for this mod's release!

I'm asuming Doriath be able to recruit them? Or will there be a "creatures" faction?

Hey, just wanted to say the mod looks freaking amazing and I can't wait to play it! The orc units and trolls look spectacular. I was also wondering if you would be getting a campaign map from another First Age mod or are you creating your own?

I just played all factions, and it was just Tormund's unit.

Great, amazing update. I've only seen one tiny flaw. Tormund's wildings, and possibly others (I haven't checked), have purple beards on some soldiers. I love the Night King and Golden Company. Great Work!

Hey, great mod, but I am having trouble seeing some building and unit names, every faction except the US says unplayable on the faction selection screen, and some units just say (artillery) or (infantry). I know this may have something to do with the patch_is_text.pack file but I've reinstalled both Empire and the mod and it doesn't resolve itself. I have also checked for a file ending in .loc, but that doesn't seem to be the problem either. Can you help me?

This is a beautiful and unique, but I have a question. Will these specific animations apply to all factions and units? The style looked pretty elite, and I just don't see an orc being able to use a sword like that. You guys are doing great on the mod and I can't wait for its eventual release.

Hey Ellin I was wondering if you were in contact with other modding teams like Reforged or Divide and Conquer, because you could save yourself a lot of time if they give you some models or anything else. Obviously it is set in the First Age rather than the Third, so most units will look completely different, but stuff like trolls and weapons could be borrowed possibly. All of this banks on them giving you permission however. Great work so far on the mod and I cant wait till it is released.

Mento_17 - - 46 comments @ Cruel Servants of Celegorm

Celegorm is the third son of Feanor, and his name means, "hasty-riser," as his temper was short and he would often stand up when angered. He is known for taking the Oath of Feanor very seriously, and will do anything to see it through, even capturing the daughter of Thingol, trying to force a marriage. Celegorm eventually would earn the nickname Celegorm the Cruel through his actions against his elven kin.

While in Valinor, Celegorm befriended the great hunter, Oreme, and learned much from him. Orome even gave Celegorm a powerful hound of Valinor, named Huan. Celegorm's Noldorin servants were loyal to him and went hunting with him often. These Cruel servants of Celegorm carry out their master's will, and his traits are seen in them. They are great hunters, whether of game, orc, or even other elves if need be.

They use a bow for ranged fighting, and are able to weild a great spear if melee combat is required of them. They wear little armor, as they must be versitile and quick in order to hunt with Celegorm. These servants will do and fight whatever their master tells them to, and are a feared force on the battlefield.

Mento_17 - - 46 comments @ Guard of Himring

After Thingol, the great king of Doriath, became aware of the Kinslaying of the Teleri at the hands of the Noldor, the sons of Feanor were forced to move east of Dorthinion. Maedhros settled on a great hill, called Himring, and built a fortress upon it to guard the surroinding region, thereafter known as the March of Maedhros. The fortress became the capital of the host of Feanor, and was one of the last strongholds to fall, until the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, or Battle of Unnumbered Tears.

The elves that defended the fortress against the countless hordes of orcs, and other creatures of Morgoth's creation, were an elite force of well trained and well armored swordsmen. These soldiers are among the finest of the Noldorin host and will fight against any foe, be it orc or worse.

Adorned with Noldorin crafted armor, and having great helms, these soldiers can last an extremely long time against the meager blades of orcs and may even challenge the fiery swords of the balrogs. They weild greatswords, used to decimate the armies of Morgoth and defend the great fortress of Himring.

Mento_17 - - 46 comments @ Noldor Mounted Archers

Here's a potential description:
The Noldor are a great and powerful host of elves, known for their noble leaders, Feanor, Fingolfin, Fingon, and countless other lords of much virtue and power. From this host come many skilled warriors, able to fight valiantly against any foe, be it orc, balrog, or even their elven kin if they are ordered to do so. Out of these warriors come the greatest archers Arda has to offer.

Widely known is the skill of the elven archer, especially one from the great host of the Noldor. Extremely deadly are noldorin archers, and being mounted make these archers a very versitile and dangerous force. Able to traverse the battlefield quickly, these elves rain arrows apon the hordes of Morgoth, and use their skill both as horsemen and archers to slip away, leaving scores of masssacred foes in their wake.

These Noldorin Horse Archers are equipped with a bow for ranged combat, and a sword for close quarters fighting. They have much prowess in both the sword and the bow, and combining that skill with being mounted creates a deadly host of Noldorin soldiers. The Noldorin Mounted Archers wear chainmail and are adorned with silver helmets, forged by the great Noldorin smiths, who have almost no equal in the forging of armor and weapons. Noldorin Mounted Archers are a force to be feared on the battlefield and prove to be among the greatest cavalry forces in Arda.

Hey just a thought. You guys should try to contact the creator of the Dagor Dagorath mod. It has been dead for a while, but has tons of unused second age content that was never released. It might be worth digging for contact info.
