Another quick question: In order to reunite with Gondor, do I have to be allied with them?
Aragorn went through all those missions... I have the King of the Dead, and am now standing right next to Minas Tirith. But I've been standing here for a few turns now, and nothing happens. Do I need their alliance or will this go automatically?

'Good' has Gondor, Dol Amroth, Rohan, 3 Elves, 2 Dwarves, Dale, Anduin Vale, Bree and Dunedain (11 factions).
'Evil' has Mordor, Isengard, Rhun,, Dol Guldur, Harad, Ar Adunaim, Moria Goblins, Gundabad, Angmar and Dunland (10 factions)
'Neutral' has the Clans, Variargs* and Ered Luin* and Dorwinion (4 factions)
* I'm including both of these in the Neutral group since they can side with either good or evil.
It's pretty balanced in terms of number of factions. It's just that the Good factions tend to be incredibly powerful, whereas the evil Factions, especially Mordor and the Goblins, have very weak throwaway units.

A very short question.
How high is the chance that the Ered Luin Dwarves side with Mordor and accept the deal? 50/50 chance.. or lower/higher?
Same question for Khand and their Istari choice.

The reason I ask this is because the last 3 campaigns I did all had the Ered Luin Dwarves side with Mordor.

I am using the newest update, yet still got the bug.
Made it past the mission though, so no real worries :)

I loved playing through the missions. I recognize so many things from the original BFME 1, lines from the old Return of the King game and details from the books. Absolutely loving the campaign and I'm looking forward to the update that includes the 3rd book/movie so we can finish it.

There seems to be a bug during the Main Campaign at the 'Ambush in Ithilien' mission.
Saving during the mission corrupts the safe-file, making it unusable.

I looked around and it seems this is an old bug that persists.

I am still getting issues when playing against the Goblins Faction.

They can still build their Goblin-Town expansions outside of the map borders.

I played in Wold as Imladris against 3 brutals. Goblins spawned in the top-right.
After checking the stats, the goblins only had 1 building left. All scaffolding was destroyed and no settlements/outposts/castles were in their hands.
Infantry spawned on the northern edge of the map... just right of the northernmost Outpost.. a bit next to the settlement.

All scafolding was destroyed. I had view of the entire map and there was nothing left of the enemy.
The only way for any scafolding to have survived is for it to have been placed outside the map-borders.

I just played against 7 other brutals on Tournament Hills. Last one standing was Goblins, who again had nothing left... yet were not defeated. Building count at 0, and I held all other settlements/camps/outposts.

I was forced to exit. Goblins is a fun faction, yet still quite buggy. (Yes.. i did update the game :)

I keep getting a CTD whenever an enemy Sauron grabs the Ring.
When I grab the ring with Sauron it's fine, but with enemy factions its an immediate CTD

Had another map where the Dwarves had a structure just outside the map:

Nauduhirion, with the bugged Dwarves in the bottom left of the map.

Was impossible to destroy that last building. Catapults and the Dwarven Earthshaker did nothing, and since it was a barracks building, i could not win.

I played it yesterday with the update installed and still had the issue on both the Evendim-map and the Celebrant-map.

No idea if certain maps are the issue or if its a general issue.

Although the new faction is quite fun to play... to fight against them is an absoute pain and quite possibly bugged.

Its balanced enough, but on higher dificulties they start spamming their 'Goblin Realm buildings' (the ones you need a builder for and can have expansions with bridges/scaffolding between them). Aesthetically this looks amazing and chaotic and fantastic... love it. (Also.. the Balrog is nigh-unkillable. Might want to nerf him just a bit.)
But it seems a bunch of those buildings are built outside of the map borders. I've had it happen at least 3 times now where the Misty Mountains was the last faction on the map, yet they had nothing left. I even saw in the end screen (with the graphs) that their building count was 0. I have screenshots of goblins appearing from the edge of the map.

On a related note... is there a console command i can use to force a faction to be destroyed? Just so i can get rid of a bugged faction like Misty Mountains (Dwarves have it too sometimes) where buildings are build outside the map borders.

Luckily it wasn't.
Of course, after I posted this.. played it some more a bit later and got a notification 3 turns in that the Ring is in Umbar.

Quick question: What happens to the Ring after you kill Sauron on the battlefield?

A bit ago, during a High Elf campaign, Sauron obtained the ring and a while later he showed up with an army near one of my cities. I was able to kill him on the battlefield and got that notification of 'Sauron loses the Ring'.
But this was 15-20 turns ago, and the Ring hasn't shown up in another settlement anywhere else. Is this a bug, or will it just take a bit longer?

Ah. I see what i missed.
I did apply the LAA (sorry.. i missed that LAA stood for Large Adress Aware), but i did not apply it to the kingdoms.exe.
There is also a launcher.exe in my folder (i have the disk version of ME2TW).. should i apply the LAA to that as well?

I did not, but i also can't find the LAA patch. Is it part of the main download, or somewhere seperate?
Also, unless i'm being stupid, the instruciton video (the V4.5 one, since there is no V4.6 vid) does not include downloading or installing a patch.

I got V4.6 to work, but i am still getting tons of CTDs.
This can happen after my turn, or pretty much each time after a real-time battle.
How do i fix this?

I updated and the issue is gone.
Strangely enough, there was no update to install, yet it did fix it.

I've never had this issue before, so i don't know why it would suddenly show up when i didn't change anything about the Rotwk game itself. Everything should be up to date.
i'll double check it to be sure, but i can ignore this issue for now. It is only a small one.

Not sure if i'm suposed to put this here, but the Wood-Elven buildings get purple textures when they get damaged.
The entmoot is fine and the Mirkwood outpost as well, but the main fortress/camp has this issue.

Nothing that i find gamebreaking or really annoying, but just an fyi :)

Too bad that you had to get rid of them. Zaphragor and Cirdan were my favourites. Matthias' lines from the Tomb Raider reboot fitted very well with Zaphragor and Richard Harris (Dumbledore and Marcus Aurelius) as Cirdan was perfect.

Maybe i missed this in the previous news updates but... what happened to the voices of the added heroes?
Gondor's Beregond has the generic 'create-a-hero-male-elf' voice, and Imladris' Cirdan doesn't have a voice at all.
Ditto with a bunch of other heroes.

What happened to the voices that you guys pulled from other games/movies?
I want Richard Harris as Cirdan again! :)

I haven't tried it on all maps, yet it seems to be the case. It happens with dwarves alone, no matter the map i play on.

This does not happen in pvp matches, only in skirmishes against the AI.
Everytime i play as the Dwarves, this bug does not happen to me. Only when the AI plays as Dwarves

Ok... this is getting really annoying now. (i will ask this here, since i cannot get a response on the Edain-forums)
What is up with the dwarves? Every time i fight them they are bugged. Units appear in corner of the map, as if they have buildings beyond the borders... the castles/camps/outposts do not disappear after destroying all buildings... And even if they do, since apparently they have a building outside the map, i cannot defeat them.

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me. It makes me look up my opponents every time i do a skirmish, and as soon as i see that one of them is Dwarves, i just exit immediately since i cannot defeat them anyway.

Isengard seems to have this problem (building outside of the map) on occasion, yet the Dwarves almost every single time.

A patch is only an update.. not a mod on itself.
So, yes. You first have to download both parts, and then download the patch.
