Hi all,

I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm about our website. Actually, you were so enthusiast you slammed our server down :°D

Have fun

Hi all!
I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm about this project.

That being said,

Seriously?

Perhaps someone didn't figure it out yet, but I'm the person responsabile for the look of the art style, since I'm the person who makes all the new textures, banners, posters, datavault images, logos, web graphics, color themes and so on and so forth. You can see a lot of samples from my work for here on ModDB, so far I had received a lot of great comments from you guys, and I appreciate it a lot (and those comments that weren't so enthusiastic were definitely constructive, so I appreciate that too!)

So.
I'm the kind of person who's really happy to discuss her work, so please, in the future, anyone who's willing to discuss about the 'art style' topic is totally welcome to send me a PM (or post here), instead of analysing parts of the game (which no one has actually played yet) on YouTube and such.

Thank you

P.S. this is no HR, this is Deus Ex, so it's gonna feel like Deus Ex, not HR.

Good eye (pun unintended), 'Eye.sys' is a personal take over vanilla's 'Starlight'. I tried to enhance the blue with a little bit of cerulean shades, the result should be more rich in terms of hues.

'Revision Red' is currently a candidate for the chair of default for Revision, along with a couple of others. We'll see which one wins considering the other pieces of in-game graphics (;

Hi everyone,
yes, website is in maintenance mode, thank you for worrying about it, but no, nothing is happening, it's basically a summer plugin malfuctioning fest that I'm fixing right now. So we're basically going to have our website back in a little while.

In my very personal honest opinion, one should play vanilla Deus Ex first. Always. It's a 2000 game, designed for 2000 computers, has a lot of outdatedness and a bad engine, but it's still an aamzing game in my opinion.

Then, you go with Revision. And things really get over 9000.

Oh it's simply SketchUp. I've created a 3D model of the three floorplans (based more on the actual ingame map than on the vanilla datavault image) and I've 'stacked' them one on top of the other, with some distance between floors as you can see (I've set the view to Perspective as opposed to Parallel).
The lines and surfaces styling has been done in SketchUp, as it has a lot of options for visual styles. Only after that, I've added the room labels and the other graphic elements in Photoshop.

Eye.sys - - 70 comments @ Gibbed's Deus Ex HR tools

Hoi mate, just in case you are still interested after four years (and for everyone that might be interested), I apparently stumbled upon a solution, even though I'm sure there are more elegant alternatives I cannot think about right now.

Basically, it looks like Gibbed.DeusEx3.Demux.exe doesn't like being fed multiple files with *; it does work if you feed it a number of filenames though (e.g. 'Gibbed.DeusEx3.Demux.exe 1.mul 2.mul 3.mul' seems to work), so I don't really understand why it dislikes the wildcard so much.

Also, the program is happier if the absolute path to its folder has no spaces or weird characters in it (e.g. it likes "D:/Gibbed/" more than "D:/Gibbed Tools/" which has a space)

We are going to recursively feed the program with all the .mul files we have, one by one, using FOR %%A IN (set) DO.

What I did is I placed all the .mul files I had inside the Gibbed toolset directory (the one that contains DeusGibbed.DeusEx3.Demux.exe).

Into the same directory, I created a text file and renamed it with a .bat extension (e.g. might be "batch-mul-demux.bat"), and edited it with a text editor (like Notepad or Notepad++, which I love):

FOR %%A IN (*.mul) DO Gibbed.DeusEx3.Demux.exe %%A

Save. Close. Double click on the .bat file (OR, while holding SHIFT right click somewhere in the directory, 'Open command window here', type the name of the .bat file, press enter)

Yay!

I'm no big YouTuber but, although I'm not promising anything, I've always thought of filming a Let's Play of Revision when it's finally released (provided that I'll have enough time, and this is not granted at all). I've wanted to do that since when I wasn't even part of the team yet. Hope it will be possible.

The new soundtrack is going to be optional, but Drewie is right, and let me say that EdenShard's guys are really doing an amazing job with music. I'm astonished by how they manage to catch that kind of feeling that makes you say: 'Yeeaah, this is Deus Ex!'

We're talking about this kind of textures: Moddb.com (the files are called 'ComptrPanel_##', that's why the name). You can see extraordinary examples of how Harry made use of those textures by looking at screenshots from the Ocean Lab, such as in John's link up here; we'd like to use our newly designed textures next to those already provided by New Vision to add further detail and eye-candy to the maps (:

Eye.sys - - 70 comments @ Everett's Apartment

Thank you phillon, and I'm very glad you noticed those wall tapestries and their symbolism; we really wanted to characterize Everett's place (and therefore Everett himself) as an epitome of the Illuminati both on the intellectual and historical side, as you said, and as a reference to the aspects of the very in-game symbolism (such as transhumanism seen as progress of the human being, JC as messiah, Helios as the sun etc.) I'm absolutely happy when this kind of work gets appreciated (:

(I had thought it was an emoticon xD). We've been testing that page on different OSs and browsers, and it always seemed to work fine, but I guess you never know. Thanks for the info though, we will note it down in case of future issues. By the way, I'm happy the issue resolved by itself for you and that you can see that page now (: We'll be adding additional bars later today.
