Many thanks, running as admin solved the issue. Would be nice if the option in the launcher had a tooltip pointing this out.

This looks amazing, but the "Disable Fog" option doesn't seem to work, making game really hard to play, since zooming out results in half the screen covered in solid fog. Am I missing something about this option?

You mention that "Open World" will be locations like "Bar, Dark Valley, Army Warehouses and the new level, which has its own secrets".

Whats the end goal here? Is this going to be "Open World CoOp" in the "There's no objective" style, or will this have any of the campaign quests and feature in it?

Messing around in what amounts to a "sandbox" is one thing, but playing the actual campaign is another, and I think perhaps some people think it's the latter when I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the former.

I do like merge mods, but it seems most of them avoid including mission mods, which is something I really wanted to have. Any plants to include something the Dr.X missions?

So if we have the BFG edition, there is no way to run this mod?

Ah I see the answer further down. Which is "NO" :(

I second that. I also forget which mod had that, but I know I played it! I believe they didn't start fighting again until they were outside and separate (ie there was a "cool-down" on their faction behaviour so end of emission didn't turn in to a massive ruck instantly).

I believe it was said somewhere that it won't be using the original quest line - likely for these very reasons. While I love the idea of doing the whole game in Co-Op it would be unworkable. I believe they are making their own quests/missions - but like a lot of mods, I wouldn't expect to much from that side of things, I suspect it will focus on free-roam make you're own fun style of gameplay and faction PvP.

This looks really interesting. So the aim is to not have a storyline quest, but there will be 'Jobs' and 'Missions' which can be done adhoc from various factions?

A right I see, well it sounds like "fun thing to have" but hardly going effect gameplay all the much. I suppose it'd be nice to couple free-look to oculous-rift and mouse-aim to the where the gun is pointing, though I don't imagine it'd be all the nice.

I honestly don't get how that would word. Are you talking about games that have a "glance left/right" key, that kind of turning?

This looks good, sadly the English translation is terrible, to the point of making absolutely no sense at all! :(

Lets hope :) though the wording seems amazingly vague whenever talking about alpha and releases. Read with a pessimistic point of view, it could equally mean they are releasing the alpha internally today for some serious testing. I guess we'll see soon!

Sorry you misunderstand, the mod for Misery is no longer being updated (see the forum thread you linked me) so won't work with 2.2 and won't be updated for 2.2 - I know Misery is being actively worked on :P I'll try it out but honestly, I find super hard core difficulty game not a lot of fun, a shame because the rest of the mod changes sound great!

Oh, except reading to the end of his forum thread, he states he is done with the mod for good, so no version for 2.2

Thank you, that sounds exactly like what I was after. Though, I think it seems I should be waiting for the next release now, from the change-log and hinted changes. Starting now with a big change on the horizon seems a bit pointless! (though I suspect the "LES MISERABLE" mod-mod will need updating too).

I'm the 'guest' - forgot to login :|

I'll give Rookie mode a go, thanks for pointing it out. I'd avoided downloading so far as the description and reviews all say "This is brutal hard, super hardcore, you will die over and over, etc" - I'm all for hard, but personally too hard just frustrates me in the end. The other features though sound excellent!

Ok, thanks for explaining. I wouldn't know if a revision number like rev6636 is from the original or the open-source version or what :)

I'm interested then in how you managed to get the A-Life working over multi-player without making changes to the engine, since as far as I knew, it was restricted to the single-player experience only.

I'd be interested to know, are you using OpenXRAY 1.6 for this? I assumed you were, but I don't see it mentioned. I would imagine that having access to the full source-code of the engine would allow the changes needed to make multilayer work with the A-Life system (which is part of your goal, yes?).

It's all fine really, was mainly a joking poke since you'd mentioned someone else's use of language.

"but did you thing about distribution" is the example I was citing ;)

However, if English isn't your first language, I'm always impressed to see it being used as well as you do (mistakes and all), because I know I wouldn't be half as good if I tried to write *anything* in another language! I teach English as a Foreign Language (EFL) part time, so I will give one single piece of advice (assuming you care much about improving, I understand if you really don't): try and write all your English, even comments and emails, as if you were writing a letter. It is kind of a pain in the arse, but it really works for making it better.

Haha as a teacher (part time) it's really so hard to stop my self trying to correct people or help with language... it kinda becomes a natural response having done it so much!

haha, take this with a pinch of humour, but I really struggled to read your replies! :P

For future reference:

writen = written
wright = right
thing = think
wouldnt = wouldn't

When using 'i' (as in "I think" or "What I mean") you need to make it 'I'.

For the love of god, don't use 'u' when you mean 'you'!

Any word at the start of a sentence needs a capital letter.

Your spacing is all over the place, as is your spelling, vocabulary and grammar.

I also dislike the idea of a pay-to-store system. I would assume that a better option is that the stash is stored on the server and is tied to that server (so you can't just run your own server, gets loads of items, then go online to another server with tons of items) and can only be accessed by you (your unique player ID). So for any specific server you join, you have a specific private stash.

I am re-playing CoP now, with this MOD. Its so much better with Reloaded! Its like a new game! I wonder though, should I wait for version 0.9, as I assume I will need to start a new game when it comes out? Or will I end up waiting a loooong time?

Well, I wish you success in you adding scripting, its an exciting idea at least! Is the scripting in 1.1.0 not the normal game scripting?

Durandle - - 27 comments @ Call of Pripyat Reloaded

Does this include the latest M.S.O? I am guessing not since the active A-Life distance is set to default - installing M.S.O on to of Reloaded caused crashing however >_<

Sorry, I read your page forum after posting this comment, I see there are future plans to allow proper scripting in 1.1.0. Do you think that script support would allow someone to convert the full single player campaign to multiplayer, or would that be too complicated or too big task?

This looks really interesting. Is there any reason why, with the scripting working, you couldn't just load the standard single player game/map as a multilayer session?
