+1 on this one. I think the main idea behind a proper simulation is to recreate the Decisions we would make in a given situation.

I can only speak for myself, but I'd avoid unnecessary gunfights because I can't bandage myself when holding a gun. :)

N.AAroe, can you make zombies less like walking executioners? Like reducing their accuracy, somehow limiting their ammo, etc..
I remember I had plenty of bad times when I had missions against zombies.

Also, there was a bug with Uncle Yar in Kopachy mission. I could never manage to walk unharmed by those zombies, had to make a run for it :(

May I ask, what will happen to weapons like SKS, FAL, and Mosin-Nagant? How did New Ordnance affect them?

I just have an idea for weapon condition and repairs: That the usual weapon conditions (for most of the stuff found in the Zone) would be at around 35-45%.
The player could have a weapon kit (repair+kit), what could improve an item from 15% to 55%. NPCs could repair a gun from 0% to 100%, but that'd come in a huge cost of money.

Of course, the conditions need to be adjusted. For ex. it's rather unfair to the players, that the condition is only governed by the misfire factor.

If it doesn't mean any unreasonable hard work, then I'd suggest to think about this idea.

First, I'd like to thank you for providing this selection! I'd have some thoughts however. The devs of SHOC Super Mod Pack actually work with a team of gun nuts, and as their release is coming soon, maybe you should ask them for help. I don't think that they'll be that occupied.

Shotguns, civvy rifles, and pistols should be top priority; and personally I'd like to see tons of these rudimentary, DIY customized pieces from this firearm selection. Would not take too much time for a good modeler, I suppose. I was thinking about these self-made short barreled variants of rifles mainly.

I try not to be pretentious here, but I hope you'll consider the stuff I've written here, and other places

If you don't mind over-realism suggestions, I'd have some:

What do you think about adding a "quality" meter to the silencers? Ideally, the amount of damage would affect the suppression factor. If that is not codeable, then just make them depletable/consumable items which could be repaired.

Also, please consider the implementation of separate subsonic ammo. A supersonic one with a suppressor will still sound friggin loud

For ex. I wouldn't have any dynamic music, as it just doesn't cut it for me. But let players have the choice.

Stalker wasn't ever about this Far Cry like run 'n gun scheme, so I think that a piece like this would fit perfectly for the pace and temperament of a combat in the Zone:

If you mean 'Prequel' in this mod, then that means more mutants/less stalkers, and more dangerous 'unknown' places' vs the tourist resort feeling I got when visited The Bar or Cordon.
Would be cool to see the familiar territories expand a little bit, with some different anomalies. Less military equipment (automatic weapons, high grade armors, explosives, etc...), more civilian rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Zone is not the spanish civil war yet. And you shouldn't drop all CoP maps yet, maybe Wolf would discover some places like Yanov and Skadovsk. Merging CoP Pripyat with SHOC Pripyat, eh? :P
But, I say these ideas by not knowing each feature's work amount... At least I hope you read them, cheers :P

Hey!
I love this mod, but also, it needs some adjustments.
Like the mutants are too strong for a mere human being armed with aks. They doN't provide anything if we kill them. It'd be great that certain mutant parts should be gathered and consumed as a cheaper source of food.
There's that item description box bug which I think everyone's aware of
And money looting. If not all, but a portion of money should be gain when looting a corpse. It's really important
Anyway the mod is already enjoyable, and I wish luck for the further developments!
