I've been digging around on this page, but the answer to my question has eluded me.
Is this playable in single-player at all? And if not, are there servers up featuring this? :)

Had a great time playing the more recent release, and I'm impressed by how much you've improved from the previous one.
I'm curious though, by any chance do you need a writer or tester with some free time?
I seem to have acquired plenty of such, and would like to help any way I can.
Wow,
This might very well make me reinstall Nexus!
Still anticipating the release of this mod!
If you need any writers or testers (with lots of unfortunate free time), I can help. :)
Good luck to you!
Hmm, so far all I see is a Garry's Mod scene and some FPSbanana models.
If you're looking for a writer with plenty of time, I'm available. I'm not doing much between my single class this semester and writing a novel.
Send me a PM, or maybe I'll do the same to you after I get out of class today?
Either way, I hope there's some way I can contribute.
Is it just me or is a lot of the models in this mod taken from other artists?
"Browser Based" turned me away from this.
I was told the torrent was for the German Version of Stalker- is that true or does the torrent work perfectly fine? D:
Could you be anymore of a baby crying about this?
The others are right, this looks EXACTLY like the CoH upgrade interface- which isn't a bad thing. Why try to change something that works perfectly? This will make a great addition to the Homeworld 2 UI.
Freeplay can still be added in, and I suspect they may be including it in the next version. Otherwise there's similar mods to this that include freeplay.
I'm gonna go ahead and poke this in hopes there's OFFLINE bot play.
I have a question- While I'm greatly enjoying the mod, I was disappointed to discover there is, absolutely, no freeplay available. Will this be restored in 1.1 by any chance?
You could try torrenting it. I was told there was a torrent of SMP 2.4, but when I looked on the forums I couldn't find diddly squat- as for out of my mind~ Lurk does almost everything this mod does, and it only took ten minutes to download 3 gig compressed file.
I'm certain there are better hosts out there, and I know you're not paid, I'm just (along with many others) disappointed you don't have a better host to put the downloaded files on, so frankly, we can't play it. Not everyone has a constantly stable internet connection during the day, and because of deposit files, it limits the number of times you can download something AND if the download stops, you have to restart it.
Not a pleasant way to do things.
But by no means am I saying your mod sucks! I played 2.3 and it was quite enjoyable.
Unfortunately,
I cannot download this. 8 hours for one mod isn't worth it~ Deposit Files has to be the absolute worst place to download anything from, it abuses free users like we don't already pay for high-speed internet.
I've seen filefront (yes, Filefront) and Megaupload allow over 2gigs+ in certain situations, all you have to do is seperate the files into two .rar (or zip, whatever floats your boat) and have it so when you unpack one, it goes to the other. It's not that difficult!
Hope to see better download links soon, otherwise I'm just gonna have to play other mods. Like SCM and LURK. :3
Hello~
I was wondering if there's any chance new color selections will be added to this mod? I would have added my own via modding myself, but unfortunately the World Builder and SDK are not compatible with STEAM versions of the game (though I have managed to play mods with this game easily! :D)
Just purchased CnC3 and played some great mods for this... but this one refuses to install.
Keeps telling me it can't find the installation folder, and my game is fully updated to 1.9 >:(
I understand where you're coming from, sorry for that.
You deserve nothing less than a place in the top 10 at the very least. I rarely say this about mods (unfortunately I happen to be quite picky, for the most part I thought "Shockwave" and other mods like it were absolute crap, and they are) and yours is the best one out there at the moment. I'm genuinely excited for the release so I can have a reason to reinstall the game.
Keep up the superb, high-quality work!
I absolutely agree with the above post - very few games have provided an impact to sounds of laser weapons, especially in Star Wars that the movies had.
I would also like to suggest a replacement for the spurts of blood that I've seen in the trailer(s) available. In the original trilogy, every impact was met with a puff of smoke and maybe a few sparks- any chance we'll see that on the soldiers in game?
Keep up the amazing work, great to see a high-quality mod for Modern Warfare- if only MW2 had mod support.
I've been dying for a mod along this vein, keep up the great work!
I know how you feel, but the way he's portraying it is very "American" so to speak. The propaganda theme fits American involvement.
Fantastic and Original,
I wish the creator(s) luck and hope you have fantastic success in further attempts. It's refreshing to see something like this and I hope you keep up the good work.
Well,
Beautiful game. At least the way it looks, the actual gameplay suffers from clunky controls, random drops in FPS (even though they're minor, they interrupt the game and as it stands I have a massive gaming PC, but I think I could blame that on the Game's Engine itself), lack of checkpoints (often having to repeat ENTIRE levels because of one little mistake) and the absolute uselessness of guns (Sorry, I find shooting a zombie 13 times in the skull and not killing him rather difficult, especially when you're so outnumbered) dumb this game to a truly unpolished and not-worth-playing state for someone like me.
Although, amazing work for a 1-man team (or two man if you count the music/sound effects?) Keep up the good work, maybe you'll catch a developer's eye.
Hmm,
For some reason this doesn't seem to work with CoH: Gold. Perhaps because it installed differently in the directory - so I'll try uninstalling and manually finding my directory.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks! <3
Cannot seem to get the "Challenge" game mode to start. Everything else apparently works fine except for that. It simply crashes with a "Click Yes to send Error Report" without giving me the error. o_O
No, unfortunately I cannot because the "Direct2Drive" version doesn't seem to have a v1.0005 patch available for the Digital version. Unless I'm mistaken?
Yes.
I'm thinking this might be happening because I'm using the "Direct2Drive" version. On the main website it only has v. 6 available instead of the version 5 patch.
XR_3DA.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module "C:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl\bin\xrCore.dll" at 001B:0151CC85, xrDebug::backend()+165 byte(s)
This is the error I'm getting after a fresh reinstall of Stalker, plus the latest patch with the SMP mod installed.

Hello! My name is Sean, I'm currently in college for Storyboard and Game Design and have been steadily working my way towards finishing a novel that I'm hoping to publish before the end of the year. Though in all honesty, that seems like a bit of a stretch considering I haven't gotten very far on it yet. I'm an avid writer (my strong suit) and have some experience in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator. I also have some minor experience in a few modeling programs such as Maya and others! I'm looking to learn the basics of modding, and I'm looking for anyone who needs someone literate (in the English language) with resources and can use someone for some translation (I can translate german somewhat well on paper, not in audio however...) or just basic, or writing for any back-story in hopes to immerse others! Seriously if you need a writer, I'm your guy. Not professional yet, but I'm hoping to get there soon!
