Is it possible to play Galactic Conquest with this mod? Furthermore, can the menu be updated? everything for me is kinda all over the place and layered on top of each other, making it difficult to change things like credit amount and weather heroes are enabled or not.

I'm not sure if I did something wrong during extraction, but for some reason the game refuses to load, even after an hour of waiting, it remains unresponsive. It loads almost instantly when I use an older exe.

Sorry, but I'm not sure exactly how to PM on this site, and google isn't much help with that. Furthermore, I'm not sure which race was the main cause of the issue on my end, all I know is that after removing the core AI files for default races in all custom races, Unification's AI played much more fairer.

If it makes any difference, this is in regards to how it played on easy. before, AI seemed to have tones of resources to spare on heavy units and vehicles. Now it plays more like standard.

Greetings brothers, I return with news regarding my previous inquires about the AI. I do believe I've found the crux of the matter. I've noticed a lot of the custom races also come with edited AI files for the default races. I don't know how the game handles sorting through them, whether it compiles them together or selects one that overwrites the rest, but this seems to be what causes the game to go ape **** and send everything it can my way, difficulty be damned. After removing the core files and any other files pertaining to the default races, everything seems to be working as intended.

Also, I have an idea for some in-game options to add in, if you'd be interested in hearing them.

I was starting to think it was just me being more awful at strategy than usual. I did manage to find a small workaround though. In the default AI folders there are folders in the "strategies" folder with files for the difficulties. I copy/pasted them in the "strategies" folder in the mod, and...it does nerf things quite a bit. Like default easy is more challenging than in the mod.

Also, if I could make a suggestion, ditch the "dancing" gimmick. It kinda takes away from one of the mechanics that makes the game stand out from others. As well as allows them to completely bypass units and turrets shooting at them and RUN THROUGH MY BASE taking pop shots at everything. Melee was the only defensive wall.

UPDATE: Did a bit more messing around with the AI, turns out all I had to do was copy the default AI files into the same folders in the core folder. AI is now back to its original state.

Well, this has been a weird experience. I got the game and mods reinstalled, and I've been playing a few rounds (on easy, of course), and I'm still getting the same results. They really love tanks and advanced units. But it gets weirder. I've been messing around with the AI control panel in the ai folder, I set the "dancing to off, made the tech speed very slow, disabled the attack delay and disabled all the option at the bottom just to see what would happen, and soon into the game I got rushed with a massive army a orcs and tank units! So I set the dancing to god like and tech speed to very fast, and...I had no attacks to deal with. I just built my base up and went out conquering most of the map without much resistance. When I got close to their base there was some artillery, but not much else to deal with. Not many units like before, not an insane number of tank and advanced units.

Something really weird is going on on my end.

That's the thing, it was on easy difficulty when it happened. It's something I'd expect to see more so on hard, maybe even normal. I didn't expect the AI to pump out tanks and mechs like it's rabbit season.

But maybe it's something I did on my end. I've been toying around with things a bit and now I'm getting fatal AI errors, so I'll reinstall and reload the mod without the extra races (aside from what's required) and see what happens then, and get back to ya tomorrow (technically later, since it's 3:44 AM here). Later brother.

Hmm, that's odd. Ever since I installed the mod, the AI has been more than lucrative with its tech. Even on easy, after a while I'll be facing a sizable number of tanks and other mech units, as well as more advanced units (like the ork mek boy, for example). I tried messing around with the settings in game, disabling everything except for a match win stipulation, but that didn't work. I found the AI control panel that came with it and messed with the settings, still no change. Unless it's something to do with one of the custom races, I'm stumped. The only ones I have aside from what's required are Space Wolves, Thousand Sons and Witch Hunters.

Greeting brothers! I have a quick question. Is there any way to revert the AI back to what it was before? While I do enjoy being able to have full scale wars with tanks and mechs, I do still enjoy the casual skirmish with basic units.

Could I inquire as to where you got the Palpatine model? I've been looking for one with both his appearance in the prequels and in the OT wrapped into one, folder, but I can't seem to edit him for SP selection without including the animation file linked to his model (not that there's anything wrong with the animations), and I'd like to play this version with some animations I downloaded.

I set them exactly to that, as well as mp3 with bit rate mode at constant, quality at 128 kbps, and channel set to stereo. I've also experimented with average bit rate. Still only get anger and victory to play. If it matters, I use OpenJK to run.

How did you get taunts and gloats to work? I've followed the steps on JKHub to the letter for converting sounds, yet the only active sounds I can get to works are anger and victory.

Not sure if my last comment went through, internet went out.

Is there a way to make this spawn...how should I put this? More randomly? I mean like, make its chances of spawning a little but higher, maybe even drop off an enemy? I've been playing with this mod for about three months, and only got the gun twice. I get the quad more then this. I'm not sure if one of my other mods may be the cause of this, which are mostly Project Brutality motators.

Is there a way to make this spawn...how should I say this? A bit more randomly? I mean like, increase the chances of it spawning throughout the game. In the three months I've been playing with this mod, I've only ever gotten this gun twice. I've gotten the quad shotgun more then this. I'm not sure if there's a mod that's interfering with the spawn, as I have a large collection at the same time, mostly other mutators for Project Brutality. Or maybe a certain load order it's suppose to be in.

Have I got a bug for you. I was just messing around, trying to compare weapons of the same caliber, and just found out that after emptying the clip in one weapon, when I keep tossing one to pick up the other, the ammo that I used transfer to the next gun. I can get full ammo by just tossing the same two guns over and over again!

Verizon is taking its sweet time in getting its servers back to full speed, so downloading regedit is STILL not possible.

I need some help with something simple that I'm more then sure is easy to figure out, but I can seem to get it right. I made a twilek bot, but it won't show up as blue. I'm still trying to work out what I'm not doing, so hopefully maybe I can update this with some good news.
