I personally enjoy this saber system a lot from time to time. I like the new combat system in both, multiplayer and single-player. Something I love is the ability to perform manual block while in-combat. Ledge grabbing from some versions is fun too in several maps. Usually I do my personal tweaks by mixing this mod with other mods. It works flawlessly well, especially in multiplayer vs bots. Throwing a few map-packs into it, some bots and/or npcs is fun too. Awesome! Are dual sabers and double bladed sabers balanced as well as single sabers?
Would it be possible to patch SJE 2020? There are still a number of issues, including ctd's on the vjun and korriban missions. I havent made any alterations to the SJE pk3 files and just as install guides mention I copied the patched outcast pk3's to the jedi academy base folder. I renamed the JO and JE pk3's to a_outcast_assets0, 1, 2, and 5 and b_academy_assets0, 1, 2, and 3. After having played the finished serenity jedi engine extreme 2018 and SJE 2020, Serenity Jedi Engine 2020 implements the saber system better than any previous version. Fixing these issues that cause ctd's would go a long way towards making the mod the ideal way to play jedi academy. Using a single saber with 5 styles (very well implemented in this version) seems to be the most effective way to utilize the SJE saber system. That being said playing with a double bladed saber or with two sabers should also be a great experience, but it appears that abilities may be nerfed when playing with a double blade or two sabers (I can't confirm it but after testing it a few times it seemed this might be the case). If this is the case then removing these penalties would go a long way towards improving the mod. This mod has so much potential and its improvements with the saber system, force powers, weapons, enemy ai, and more would make it the ideal Jedi Academy/Outcast experience if it werent for these issues.

Hi, I've been searching everywhere on the internet but can't find any answers concrete enough to help me.
Can someone tell me what the block button is, not the manual one (which seems to lock you in place)?
I remember playing with the 2015 version of serenity, and in the control menu, you could assign a block input (which was separate from the manual block input).
Also when I try to hold/press manual block, it doesn't seem to block attacks (f.ex melee kicks) or force lightning. Which makes the tutorial video not so helpful.
Could anyone please help me with this issue or misunderstanding, it would be very appreciated! :)
The "New" updated 2021 blocking system requires that you hold "block" to activate Auto blocking and then also hold "Attack" + "Direction" to do manual blocking. All key binds can be found in the control's menu.
