Beta Strain (previously Zombie Pandemic) is a zombie survival game that intends to take all the features from zombie games that are good and implement them in a game which uses all of these features plus more, the game will offer massive amounts of game play options, with 6 characters to play as, each with different strengths and weaknesses.
The game will have a story mode a bit like L4D, a survival mode inspired by Nazi Zombies with a twist and another mode which will make our game unique in its own sense allowing for the best survival game play in the zombie game community.
In short this game will offer the best of all zombie worlds, mini bosses, special infected, round based survival and a story mode, it’s all here and we think you should pack a machete because things might get rough...

We're here again, and it's time for some updates :D
We've been very quiet recently and with due cause, first of all GeneralBert set fire to his laptop and then forgot how desktop PC's worked .. which I won't lie was farily funny.
Secondly, I had to learn 3D modelling, so now I can extrude cubes from other cubes .. I feel like my life is more complete now. I may even start making abstract art.
Anyway.
The entire team have been having too many meetings recently and we've actually sorted out 95% of the documents we need for the game, so now we're ready to start.
However, we have made some major changes to the game itself, the first is we are no longer going to use Unity3D for the game - mainly because for the pro/indie license is far too much for us to afford, so we don't get a good 80% of the features and shaders which we'll need in the game.
Instead we've decided to go with the UDK, it offers a lot of features and is much better for what we plan to do (hopefully.) Plus we like Q.U.B.E. and Sanctum and they're made in the UDK, so we've decided to use that. This gives us a big advantage as I'm learning C++/C# and DTJ20 is learning Java, so we're good for programming, which also gives me and GB time to do modelling for stuff.
That being said, once we have some content to show for the game in the new engine, we'll open a new page on IndieDB for the game, with the correct information etc and close this one down. We'll obviously post links to the new page first and allow time for people to see, but until then we probably won't do many updates to this page :( (SORRY!)

Yes the game is a Unity indie.
Screenshot wise, sorry about that! We all use laptops and didn't realise the brightness was that low! Checked today during college, we've got it fixed now :)
