Still a wicked game in its own right, modding has pushed it further than ever (as modding often does), and that goes for Red Alert 3: Rejuvenation as well - refreshing the classic with a modern set of graphics, new factions, new units, and a slew of other features making returning feel like a warm welcome.
There's something comfy about tycoon games where business success is manageable, and the human need to optimise is rewarded with more, not less, gameplay. Blooming Business: Casino is of this brand of game, adding to the comfort with cute animals in a minimalist style. A remarkable suite of modding tools means players can expand what's available beyond the base game and build the real casino of their dreams.
Half-Life is often synonymous with disaster - alien invasions and resonance cascades to name a few! However, one of the most fondly loved parts of Half-Life was the realness of Black Mesa as a place people worked before all hell broke loose, and that feeling is channeled by Half-Life: Induction, a pre-disaster mod kicking off Gordon's journey with a little less chaos and a little more charm.
