Half-Life 2, no question! HL was wonderful and hopefully the sequal too.
Doom 3: doesn't interest me (no chance on my pc ^_^).
Deus Ex 2: don't know the first one so not of interest for me.
Halo 2: I hate real consoles... especially the crappy micr$oft %-box... but i love emulating them... lol
Personally Im going for Half Life 2, simply on its history alone :)

DX had a great story; I played it twice through. HL I don't think I even finished. And console games, ugh :tired:.

Halo I loved, wanted more, cant wait for the sequel.
Half Life, almost completed but got fed up of trying to figure out why the lift wouldnt start.
Dooms never interested me.
Deus Ex bored me to smitherines.
half life 2 of course.But i also cant wait to play deus ex 2.Both previous titles had a great storyline and gameplay.Half Life has the biggest mod community and deus ex didnt really have any mods at all.Ah well...we'll se when both of the new titles come out.

HalfLife 2 - I'm getting a new poota just so i can play it nicely. Brand spanking new engine built from the ground up. Wicked new models and gfx with interesting new technolegies incorperated to make it just that bit ahead of the rest of the game engines around :D
I would have to go on DX2
- DX1, as a game rocks, but i have only seen, and playd one of its few mods
HL2, i think will be a waste on the franshise, but then again, lets hope not
- HL1, as a game is one of the reasons its game of the year on so many mags, I have just over 68 Gigs of HL MODS, though
Deus Ex 2, because it's actually a game rather than another shootfest.
Quake 4 should be there :(
But ill go with Doom3, Half Life was WAY overrated, and although I think it will be AWESOME and cant wait for it to come out, I just think not enough people are voting for D00M3.
noone cares really about hl2, it will be over and done, the true honor of the game will be its mods hopefully updated versions of CS, DoD, and other games of the sort

This is NOT a flaming place! Got it!
1) Half-life is great, yes, and making a sequal is damn difficult, yes too. But unless we see what they make out of this difficult task or not there's no sense in flaming them!
2) About them destroying a community... who has build this community? who put out the dev tools to allow such a community to grow? who put patches and other stuff trying to keep the game alive? who didn't trash the game one or two years after realease like many others? better think about such things before flaming around here.
3) The gaming world is at it's peak? sorry... it's hurtling down. Since a few years I never bought again a game due to the fact that no game was able to impress me (except SP mods for HL because this people really like the game and you feel it)... mostly all have been bad remakes of old stories or games beeing polishing up like hell with oversized graphics but laking what makes a game a blast: fun, a good story and making you play it all over again!
I am very interested in HL2 but I will not judge it until I have played at least the demo.

HL was a fluke. There is no way HL2 will match it's success.
Here is my thought. Deus Ex 2, Doom3, and HL2. Thats all. All of those games I have played and all rock my boat equally. Deus Ex: Great Story and RPG Elements. Doom1/2: Fun to play and cool. Half-Life: Story, Interaction, and action. So basicly I have them all catagorized.
My Mistake. DEUS EX 2 RULEZ!!!! HL2 are for FOOLZ (I'm just trying to rhyme. I love hl2). Doom3 are for Ghoulz. Halo2 is for coolz.

seein as i have a crap pc, the only previous version of those games that i have played is hl and doom doom is ancient so i couldn't vote for it... hl is mad so i voted for it :p

Definately DX2... I meant come on DX has got to be one of the best games of all time!! Interactive story, conspiracy thriller, man I think I might have to go play through it again... As for the other two- I am looking forward to HL2. Doom 3 could be good- have to wait and see. Oh- and **** consoles :D ;)

- playing consoles in real life I hate!
- emulating consoles on my PC... I LOOOOOOOVE!!!

I tried Half Life once... Bored me to death. I think everyone's just looking forward to it for the mods and another Counter-Strike (which none of the current Counter-Strikers will be able to play cause right now it runs fine on their l33t Pentium IIs with 8Mb AGP cards...)
Doom 3, well it looks like they're just making one massive gore-fest with such high system requirements that no-one will be able to play it... Look how everyone moans about the requirements for Unreal 2 for example, then try to imagine what it'll be like for Doom 3.
Halo 2... Don't have an X-Box so it won't affect me in any way...
What I'll be looking forward to is Deus Ex 2, the first one kept me entertained for ages. And it uses the Unreal engine so I guess I'll end up playing it regardless... :P
